Asda Smart Price refuse sacks
One household item that I am sure very few people could do without is bin bags. When it comes to buying refuse sacks I am not particularly brand loyal or really all the picky after all they are going straight in the bin. But I do expect and want a certain degree of reliability.
When I first purchased the Asda smart price bin bags I was taken in by the low price, after all you 45 refuse sacks for only £1.09, which would have been a bargain if they worked well. At one point in my life (probably the student years) I believed that all bin bags were equal, but that is most certainly not the case. The Asda smart price black bags are thin, almost transparent and will rip very easily, way too easily, which of course can lead to a huge mess and more hassle than you want from taking the bin out.
I really wouldn't recommend these black bags, even if you are on a budget I would always try and spend a little more on something that was reliable and not likely to break or leak at the inopportune moment, and possible ruin your carpet as you pass through your hallway on the way to the outdoor bin. The bags can and in my experience will tear when you have to haul them full of rubbish out of the kitchen bin to tie the top.
If you are still interested in trying the bin bags for yourself I have found that they are a decent size and will easily fit my 40 litre kitchen bin. In that past when I have bought these I have found that they are usable if you double bag them, but that seems a tad wasteful and then ultimately doesn't make them any less expensive than buying a more expensive and more reliable brand in the first place. In my opinion the Asda smart price refuse sacks are definitely a false economy and in the long run I have not found them to work out as a cheaper alternative.
If Dooyoo allowed half points I probably would award the Asda smart price bin bags a 1 and ½ stars out of five but as it stands I feel that I should round down. These bin bags are nothing special and are far more hassle than they are worth, therefore, from me they only get 1 out of 5 stars. They aren't a product from Asda that I would go out of my way to buy again, which is a shame because the Asda smart price range does include a lot of really good and reliable products.
Summary: One out of five stars
