I am not really a fan of toilet brushes as I worry about the lack of hygiene with it but we have one anyway to help when cleaning the toilet. We bought this one from Asda as it was only cheap. I don't tend to keep a toilet brush very long so don't see any point in spending lots of money on one.

It is white so will go in any bathroom although I think being plain white makes it quite cheap looking but then what do you expect?! And I wouldn't really want a fancy looking one anyway as it will only draw attention to it.

It slots into the base by putting it directly in and it remains upright. It is only light but it's never fallen over. It is made completely with plastic so cleaning it is easy; I tend to give it a good clean using bleach after I have used it and this seems to make it remain nice and clean. The handle isn't too long either so you get a good amount of control when moving it around.

The brush itself is not too thick which makes it really useful for getting around the slight bend at the bottom of the toilet. I don't think the bristles reach all areas but it does do a very good job and saves me having to use gloves and scrub away with my hands down the bowl for any longer than I have to. It does well at keeping limescale at bay, we have a really big problem with limescale here, it builds up very quickly but I find if I use this once a week to give the toilet a good scrub then it doesn't build up too much.

I would recommend you keep it away from children's reach so they aren't tempted to investigate it as I hate to think about the bacteria hiding in these but like I say you can give it a good clean as it's made with plastic.
