      Stylish bottle bag

A couple of years ago I had a couple of bottles of wine to wrap for Christmas. It took me forever and looked a right state by time I had finished I vowed never to wrap another bottle again. I only purchased one bottle as a gift for this Christmas so only needed one bottle bag. I picked one up from my local Asda.

There were a couple of designs available to choose from but I ended up buying this rather funky looking one.
It's mainly black in colour with colourful, funky looking tree's in a row down the centre of the bag. The blue, green and purple colour trees really break up the dark, black nature of the bag, each of the tree's are decorated with different patterns, swirly tinsel, snowflake baubles and there is one with starry tinsel. Also dotted around on the black background are some snowflakes in lots of different colours. There are red ribbon handles and a red, shiny, tree shaped gift tag attached to this ribbon. When you think of Christmas, black is usually the last colour you think of but the overall look of the bottle bag is definitely bright and something a little different. I think it stands out but for all of the right reasons, it has a nice contemporary look. The bottle bag is made from a sturdy paper/cardboard type material and can easily withstand the weight of a bottle. It doesn't seem flimsy at all and doesn't bend or misshapen when a bottle is inside.

Of course, being a bottle bag, the size is absolutely perfect for a bottle of wine. When placed inside, there is still a little room around the bottle so you could pretty it up with tissue paper or the like if you wanted to make it a little more wrapped. I opted to keep the bottle in there on it's own but the options there if you wanted it. The gift tag is the normal sort of size, I didn't actually write on mine as I attached a tag around the bottle neck so my friend can reuse the bag and use the tag herself next year if she wanted to. There is enough room to write 'To ? merry Christmas love ?' just like other gift tags.

The bottle bag is available to buy from Asda stores or online if you do your grocery shopping that way, the majority of the bottle bags available to purchase from Asda cost just £1 and this bright bottle bag is the same. I think £1 is a decent price to pay for stress free wrapping. I wrapped the bottle in 2 seconds this year, a lot quicker than a few years previous and for that reason I'd definitely recommend it!
