“ Brand: Baby Naming Day „
When we arranged Jayden's Christening in October we hired a marquee for friends and family to go back to after the church service, the marquee was at a local pub near to the church, they supplied everything but the thing I liked about it was we were given a free hand to decorate it whatever way we wanted. We searched online for suitable Christening decorations and ended up purchasing several different styles of items, one of which were the Baby Boy Hanging String Decoration, the marquee had large windows going down either side of it which looked a bit plain so we bought these with the windows in mind as they seemed the ideal thing to brighten them up a bit.
The Baby Boy Hanging String Decoration came in a small rectangle plastic packet, this had a card in the back of it which just contained the name of the product and what the packet contained and from what I can remember there was a picture of the product on the back of the card as well. The packet had a sticky strip along the top of it which opens by peeling it back, the packet is also clear allowing you to see the product inside.
This decoration basically consists of 6 x 2m strings, and are made up of obviously a white string which then has blue and white pearly shiny shapes positioned down the whole length of each string, these shapes are all objects associated with babies and consist of a pram with baby boy written on it, a baby rattle, a bottle and foot prints, these are repeated down the whole length of each string.
The string is very thing and made from nylon material this means that from a distance you cannot really see it and it can give the illusion of the shapes being suspended alone, however this could have been because we had them hanging in front of windows.
The pearly sheen that the shapes had made them shine as the light shone through the windows giving them a sparkly appearance. The shapes themselves were also made from a plastic type material making them whole thing reasonably strong, obviously they wouldn't take a lot of pulling around and probably could be snapped with your hands, however when hung up they are not going to really get a lot of rough treatment, and ours lasted the whole day without any being broken at all.
The Baby Boy Hanging Decorations didn't actually come with any sort of fixing to hang them by, we just used a very small amount of tape to hang each string in the window, this could not be seen and the decorations are very light so can easily be held in place.
We purchased our Baby Boy Hanging String Decorations online from a website called Baby Celebrations, as I have mentioned you get 6 strings at 2m each in a packet and each packet costs £2.76, personally I think they are very reasonably priced as you do get quite a lot for your money and they are not overly expensive at all.
On the day I was very pleased with our Baby Boy Hanging String Decorations, we put 6 in each window so basically 1 pack did 1 window and they really did make a statement, they brightened the room up and everyone commented on how good they looked, they made an impact without being over the top.
I went for these as they were a bit different to other decorations I had seen and I liked the cute shapes attached to the strings, the strings can be altered in length simply by cutting them with a pair of scissors, ours were 1 shape too long for the windows so we simply cut this off so that they fitted perfectly.
I would definitely recommend this product, they would be ideal for a Christening or even a baby shower, they make a lovely addition to your venue and really do brighten it up, these were definitely worth buying and I was pleased with the overall effect they gave.
