      Great little stationery

As you've probably guessed by the amount of Top Gear reviews on here lately, Harry is a huge fan of the show and he has had many Christmas presents on this theme. Another one of these was a little stocking filler from my parents to Harry, and that is a Top Gear Stig stationary set. Now he is at school, Harry is really starting to like things like pens and paper and drawing lots of random things so this seemed like a great present for him, and he's really liked it so far. I did actually get Harry one of these myself for Christmas, but it'll be recycled as another present for someone else I expect!

The product is another of the BBC's licensed Top Gear products that seem to be everywhere at the moment, and undoubtedly rather nicely lining Jeremy Clarkson's pockets which is the only bad thing about this really! I purchased this set from WH Smith where it was on sale for around £5 (I paid slightly less in a pre-Christmas sale), but I think my mum got it online so it is available from several different places if you want to purchase one. It might be more difficult to get hold of now Christmas gifts aren't in the shops but there will always be somewhere to get one.

The set is on a piece of thin cardboard with a clear image of The Stig on it and the famous Top Gear logo, and the products are held on with plastic. Inside, you get a black pencil tin with The Stig on it, along with Top Gear, "Stig Tested" and some other cars related images. You also get 2 drawing pencils, a pencil sharpener, a 15cm ruler and a Stig eraser, so you get everything that a 4 year old boy would need to do some drawings! It certainly is a good stocking filler present as it looks nicely presented and isn't too much money either.

Harry quickly opened the packaging and everything fell out. You can recycle both the backing cardboard and the plastic front so saves on the rubbish. The tin itself is good quality, the lid lifts completely away from the base and isn't hinged, but this is better for Harry because I know he won't be able to break it. The two pencils, ruler, eraser and sharpener all fit nicely inside, and there is plenty of room for more things as well. The pencils sharpened easily and write nicely on paper, so I am pleased with the quality of them. The other bits in the kit are good as well and don't feel too cheaply made so I am happy for Harry to use them.

Overall, I am really pleased with this set, and more importantly so is Harry. He's really excited about the fact he has his own special pencil case and his own pencils that he can use whenever he likes, and the only thing he needs help with is sharpening the pencils. For anyone who is a Top Gear fan, big or small, this is a nice little novelty present to get them, and is quite a reasonable price as well. The set is good quality and has really clear images of The Stig across everything, especially the pencil case. Definitely recommended!
