Advantages: nice colours, nice for notes, good for crafts
Disadvantages: unusual colours, not ideal for drawing
I bought this as part of a set of pens a while ago. I am training to be a teacher so where most people only really require pens that are black or blue I actually often find I need various coloured pens to complete my studies or mark homework in school. Pink and turquoise didn't immediately strike me as very useful colours but I have actually ended up using them the most out of all the ones I got in this pack.
This pen has a pink coloured barrel and it feels like quite a nice lightweight and slim model. I find this good for writing/drawing etc because it is very easy to use and hold. The top part of the pen is white and there are two coloured sliders which indicate which colour of pen you want to use. There is also a clip on the side of the pen but no lid as this would cause too much of a faff with the different sliders too.
I bought the set I got from poundland, so it was a pound for two pens (the other being blue/green/red/black slider pen). This meant each pen was around 50p which worked out pretty good value as far as I was concerned.
I find the pen very easy to write with, it is great or making little notes or for writing message or marking work. I like to use them when revising as I can colour code different piece of information. I do find, however, that for drawing they can be a little too thick. I do quite a lot of crafts and often find these colours are really great but I don't get a fine enough line or enough precision with this thicker style biro pen.
The colours are both very vibrant and pretty - one turquoise and one pink. I do think that because they've chosen pink for the body of the pen you might find that it is more suitable for women. I actually think it would be the perfect gift for someone who is expecting a baby along with a book of baby names, because preferred names could be written in either pink or turquoise to indicate gender!
Overall, this is a nice pen though it is worth thinking about just how useful you would find these two colours.
Summary: A fun multi-coloured pen.
