      Perfect!!!

Product: Balloon Weight From: Card Factory Price: 49p I bought my fiancé some helium balloons for his birthday so wanted a balloon weight which would hold them all down. I was browsing in my local towns Card Factory shop one afternoon when I came across their Balloon Weights priced at just 49p each. The Balloon Weights are available in the following colours; Red, Gold, Purple, Pink, Silver and Blue. A balloon weight is used to keep the balloon kept securely in place without it wondering around or floating up to the ceiling. I chose the Blue Balloon Weight as I thought this was the one most appropriate for my fiancé, a very man-like colour plus it was of a gorgeous metallic blue colour the exact same one as pictured above. The beautiful blue shiny foil is wrapped securely around the weight and is tied with a matching blue curled ribbon. There is a discreet small plastic tag with a small hole punch which allows you to thread the string from the balloon through and then simply tie. These are lovely, really effective and they look fabulous when attached to the balloons. These can be perfect for any occasion; birthdays, weddings, christenings and all different kinds of parties. What is better is that they are extremely purse friendly therefore suitable for all budgets and will hopefully have a colour to suit everyone. I for one will definitely be re-purchasing these again. Dooyoo Star Rating: 5/5.

a great product at a great price

My Mother and Father-in-law recently celebrated 50 years of marriage and decided to celebrate with a party to be held in our village hall which is extremely large and whilst we all wanted the place to look lovely we didn't have a massive budget and so a lot had to be done in a creative way. One way was to do the balloons ourselves and so we headed to card warehouse. What are they? Balloon weights these are decorated weights covered in a coloured foil, these are placed on the table and you tie Balloons to the weights ensuring your Balloons remain in place, these work best with Helium Balloons. Cost and stockist Whilst you can get Balloon weights from various stockists I found the card factory/ warehouse to be the cheapest stockist per individual item at 49p each and these are available in a range of colours obviously gold! You can buy from store or order on line at www.cardfactory.eu.com ordering on line will incur a delivery charge. See the website for store locations as well. Why buy These weights are ideal for creating a Balloon display ensuring that your helium balloons do not float away and at 49p they do not break the bank either. I also got my Balloons from them as well and each display cost £1.50 and looked fantastic and were a fraction of the cost of having a professional do the display and most importantly my in laws thought they looked great. A weight I thoroughly recommend.

          5 stars

My granddaughter has just had her birthday and we bought her some helium balloons. She adores them and these balloon weights came with it. I hadn't seen them like this before, previously they have been plastic shapes but these were much more decorative. I got a choice of which colour I wanted, I was able to choose them myself off the shelf. We went for a vivid pink colour which my granddaughter adored of course! It is a beautiful pink foil wrapped around a weight and then tied with matching pink curling ribbon. This is then attached to the string of the balloon which is tied around it. It helps to keep the balloon grounded so that the helium doesn't make it fly away! The reason why I think this is so nice is that it makes a nice decoration too so when the balloons were on the sofa it made a nice decoration so it's not just a balloon but it adds to it too. I also like that it is not seen so much as a toy which I think the plastic shaped ones are. When my grandson was born it had a little blue teddy attached to the balloon which looked like a toy rather than a weight. It worked really well, the balloons never flew away and it helped keep them grounded! My granddaughter was rather interested in it for a while but then paid more attention to the balloon itself. It worked well, sometimes the weights are not big enough but this balloon we bought was huge- a good three foot and it still kept it grounded so it's definitely a very decent weight which goes well with the balloons.

These are a great way to decorate with helium balloons

Card Factory Balloon Weight Recently we as a family have become a fan of helium balloons instead of cards (my nephew saw some that were bought for my mother, and he enjoyed them so much more than he would have a card). In the town where I live the cheapest place by far to get these balloons is in Card Factory - a single coloured shape (heart, circle, or star) is a mere £1.49, and they have a wide range of decorated balloons proclaiming all sorts on them - which range in prices depending on size and shape. In my local store they will attach a 'free' balloon weight that is a plastic balloon shape to top these from flying off to the ceiling, however when using balloons as table decorations I personally feel these cellophane covered weights are more attractive. The weights are made of a cement type material, that seems to have a similar density to that of pumice. They are then covered in foil cellophane, and tied with a plastic loop in the middle of the 'fluffy' top, which is how the balloons are attached. The balloon weights come in a range of colours, and look great on the middle of tables, for weddings or birthdays - and they are definitely cheaper than flowers. (We have personally had them in red, silver, gold, blue, and iridescent). These weights will set you back 49p each, although if you require alot in the same colour I would recommend starting to pick them up early, as they only have a limited number in stock at once in my local store. These are defiantly worth looking at as they make decorating for a party so easy (and so much fun when people ultimately 'breath the helium'). Highly recommended - in fact I am going to get some helium balloons for my boyfriend for Valentines now - I've been wracking my brains for weeks!!

            Card Factory balloon weight

We have a card factory shop in our local highstreet which I think was probably partly to blame for why the Clinton cards closed down. I know I always buy my cards from Card Factory as they are so much cheaper than there are in Clinton so it was inevitable they were not going to survive, when you can buy 10 cards for £1 in Card Factory that are of good quality and look good why go anywhere else! One of the things I buy fairly frequently (at least three or four times a year) are helium balloons. I always buy one for my kids on their birthday as they love balloons and I like to have a big number balloon for them on their actual day so its waiting for them in the lounge when they get up. My little boy didn't really appreciate it this year as he was only 1 but my little girl loves them. I got some for my husband last year as well when he turned 40 and took them to the restaurant where we had a surprise party for him. When you purchase a foil balloon from Card Factory you firstly choose what you want from the wide selection they have on show. I usually go for a foil number one like I said in either silver or the purple colour. Then, in order to make sure that the helium balloon does not float away or just float up to the ceiling you choose a balloon weight to which to tie it to. A balloon weigh is basically a sort of paperweight and is in a semi circle form. This is then covered with shiny foil just like that of the balloon and at the top it has some shredded foil to make it look fun and partyish. Stuck on it very discreetly you will find a little plastic tab with a hole in it to which you can tie the string from the end of the balloon. They will ask you in the shop how long you want the string to be so if you want quite short balloons you can do that or you can have them longer if you wish. The nice thing is that there are lots of colours of balloon weights you can choose from so you can either choose one to match the colour of your balloon or you can choose a different colour in order to make it look contrasted. The weights are quite heavy and really do hold up the balloon. They are easy enough to move around the floor though as my kids love picking the balloons up and moving them but they do not damage your floor or anything like that. Each weight costs just 49p so its not very costly at all to control your helium balloon.

Does what you expect but very cheaply!

I am going to really struggle to find things to write about such a simple product, but I'll give it a go! The Card Factory is renowned for offering amongst the cheapest supplies for special occasions on the high street. For years there was no store in my local town and I had to travel by train to my nearest big city for one of the shops. This meant that to get a balloon weight such as this would cost me a few pounds from my local party stores (A rip-off, I know!), I often therefore resorted to weighing them down using makeshift weights. Although doing this is fine, it doesn't have the same effect. I was therefore thrilled when I could get these balloon weights for just 50p when a Card Factory came to my local town a couple of years ago! It was a family members 50th birthday when I first bought these balloon weights. I bought 2 or 3 at the time to hold a variety of different coloured cheap balloons and one of the more expensive foil balloons. The balloons attached using a plastic ring hidden in the ribbon on top of the weight which makes it very easy to attach and detach balloons as needed, getting the balloons setup was therefore over in seconds! The best thing about the weights is that they are reusable, I have since used them for a few more occasions and liked them so much that I went back to the store to buy more. Now every occasion of our fills the room with balloons! The picture accompanying this review features a blue weight but they also come in a variety of other colours including pink, yellow and red. These are the only colours I have seen but I am sure there are more too! The wrapping of the weight seems to be very thick and durable, I therefore doubt I will ever have to buy any replacements for them.

              holds down ballons!

Balloon weights are used to ensure that balloons are not flying off! When purchasing helium balloons you will mainly need a balloon weight to make sure it does not go straight up to the ceiling when put down in a room. I have bought balloon weights from Hallmarks before but I found the Card Factory to be selling some as well. The Card Factory also has balloons on sale which I decided to buy as they worked out better than buying them from elsewhere. I saw the balloon weights were only 49p and sold individually so I decided to purchase some whilst I was there. The balloon weights come in a variety of different colours ranging from the blue in the picture to silver, gold and red. I'm sure you may find other colours too. It is basically some clay made into a pyramid or dome shape, wrapped up in coloured cellophane which makes it a lot nicer to look at and better designed. What I liked about them was due to the range of colours you could match them to the colour of the balloon you were purchasing so they looked good together. The balloon weight has a little plastic hook on the top of the weight which all you need to do is attach the balloon's ribbon on to the hook to make sure the balloon stays attached to the weight. The weight has no problems in holding the balloon in place and it is longlasting as it can be re-used several times. I give the balloon weight 5 stars as they are wrapped well to ensure they look good and so you cannot see what it is made of unless like me you decide to take a peek of it yourself! And they are priced well at 49p. Although they are not much cheaper than buying them from hallmarks - they did the job fine and I think buying them for around 50p each is pretty much the standard price. Thanks for reading :) (review may also be found on ciao)

Held my balloon display firmly in place

My mum is a pain to buy for she doesn't really eat chocs, hates bunches of flowers and clutter so come Mothers day I bought a bunch of balloons! Usually I buy those small balloons on a stick but last year I bought those helium balloons attached to a string. I got a balloon from the Card Factory with 'Best Mum' written on it and two plain balloons in matching colours. I needed something to keep them together and weight them down, spotting a pretty balloon weight in the shop for only 49p I bought a pink one to match. The balloon weight is a little pyramid shape wrapped in metallic foil gathered at the top to create tassels. It's about the size of a tennis ball and not particularly heavy. There's a plastic hoop to tie the balloon to. They come in a few colours and a couple of designs, the fancier one was dearer but I liked this one anyway. Come the day I tied the balloons down in various lengths it looked good, the weight really added to the effect. It held them down no problem- she wasn't carried off when I handed them to her (I could have done with one of these at the zoo when I watched a £5 Thomas the Tank engine balloon disappear into the clouds- but that's another story). For my birthday, my nephews girlfriend put a balloon on the restaurant table before we got there and that was held with one of these, again it finished off the display. Last week I saw this in my mums cupboard and it's in excellent condition, it hasn't come undone at all and the plastic hoop is still firmly in place- we know what she's getting again this year! I would recommend this weight and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

A nice way to display heliu balloons.

We recently celebrated my sons christening and had a little party afterwards, my mum and myself spent ages decorating the room making it look special and these decorations included several bunches of helium balloons which needed weights to hold them down. We bought our weights from our local Card Factory as we had bought some of the balloons from there as well, they cost 49p each and are available in several colours including gold, silver, purple, red and a lovely mid blue which was what we bought. Balloon weights can be bought in several shapes and sizes or you could even make your own, the ones we bought measured approximately 5 cm's across the base and were 11cm's tall and weighed 150g. I'm not really sure what they are made from but I would imagine some sort of clay, the weights are a done in the shape of a volcano and covered in a nice shiny paper which is tassel at the top. To attach helium balloons to the weights is easy, we just used the ribbon that was on the balloons and tied it around the top of the weight, the ribbon was the same colour as the weight so it couldn't be seen. We had our balloons in groups of 3 and the weights held them in place with no problems at all. If you are wanting something a little more fancy or a little bit different then you can always decorate the weights with extra ribbons, crystals or flowers, this would look nice if you were using these to decorate a room for a wedding party. If you are planning an occasion and looking for some weights to attach helium balloons to then I can recommend these from The Card Factory, they are a reasonable price and did their job perfectly. Although they are rather plain to look at you could add a bit of sparkle to make them a bit more glamorous but for Jayden's christening they were ideal as they were. If you don't have a Card Factory where you are they can be found online from http://www.cardfactory.eu.com/
