Card Factory Balloon Weight

Recently we as a family have become a fan of helium balloons instead of cards (my nephew saw some that were bought for my mother, and he enjoyed them so much more than he would have a card). In the town where I live the cheapest place by far to get these balloons is in Card Factory - a single coloured shape (heart, circle, or star) is a mere £1.49, and they have a wide range of decorated balloons proclaiming all sorts on them - which range in prices depending on size and shape.

In my local store they will attach a 'free' balloon weight that is a plastic balloon shape to top these from flying off to the ceiling, however when using balloons as table decorations I personally feel these cellophane covered weights are more attractive. The weights are made of a cement type material, that seems to have a similar density to that of pumice. They are then covered in foil cellophane, and tied with a plastic loop in the middle of the 'fluffy' top, which is how the balloons are attached.

The balloon weights come in a range of colours, and look great on the middle of tables, for weddings or birthdays - and they are definitely cheaper than flowers. (We have personally had them in red, silver, gold, blue, and iridescent).

These weights will set you back 49p each, although if you require alot in the same colour I would recommend starting to pick them up early, as they only have a limited number in stock at once in my local store.

These are defiantly worth looking at as they make decorating for a party so easy (and so much fun when people ultimately 'breath the helium'). Highly recommended - in fact I am going to get some helium balloons for my boyfriend for Valentines now - I've been wracking my brains for weeks!!
