Advantages: Pretty, useful and good quality

Disadvantages: None

As everyone who knows me knows I am a little bit obsessed with all things Cath Kidston and love the vintage inspired patterns that are used on all her products. On the Cath Kidston website you can buy everything from bags to dog collars all with distinctive and vintage patterns on them.

The block pad is a great little item that doesn't cost the earth and is really handy for having next to the phone or just for scribbling notes on to stick to the fridge to tell your kids to do something.

I have had a few of these over the years all with different patterns but as I like nearly every pattern in the range I couldn't tell you which is my favourite as they are all so pretty.

The block pad comes with 800 blank sheets of paper to use which are a good enough size for scribbling some notes on or taking down a message or phone number. What is really nice about these block pads is that you won't need to hunt out a pen as the block has a hole in it designed to fit a pen so that it is always to hand.

This does mean that the paper has a hole in it when you tear it off but as it is in the corner it doesn't really get in the way.
The famous Cath Kidston patterns are designed all the way around the block pad so you get the view of it no matter where you place the pad.

The paper is a really nice quality and feels thick and doesn't tear easily when you are writing on it. As the paper is on top of other paper on the block it actually makes it really simple to write on even when the pen you are using is starting to run out.

These little block pads cost around about £6 each and I think this is well worth the money as they are lovely and as well as being useful they make great little presents for people.

Summary: Pretty and useful
