Advantages: pretty little stickers
Disadvantages: paper so not robust.
If you are anything like me you can probably think of a multitude of uses for these gorgeous Cath Kidston stickers. In this set there are thirty sheets and hundreds of different sized and patterned stickers to spread the Kidston magic throughout your home and onto gifts. The rrp of this item, which is made by Quadrille is £7, but you can pick it up for less on amazon or it's currently half price in the Cath Kidston sale - I picked up a second pack this week as I have used a surprising amount of my original set.
As you can see from the picture each page is quite varied - the biggest stickers at the back of the book are definitely designed for present labelling (they have "to" printed on them and are a hefty 12cm by 8cm), but there are plenty of smaller stickers some for writing on to and others just little dots of Kidston patterns for pimping up your gift wrapping or adding onto any item. The ones you can see in the photo above are pretty typical - for reference the spots are 2.5cm in diameter and the rectangles are 8cm by 4cm. The book itself is 15.5 by 13.5cm.
If you are a Kidston fan you will recognise most of the prints from dots, to flowers and some of the more unusual designs like cowboys and birds. I've found this have a multiple of uses - I used some to beautify a plain wooden hairbrush for my children who can recognise a Cath Kidston item from afar, some of the plainer stickers are handy if you want to label, say, a book you are loaning to a friend, or any item likely to go astray. If you are into making jam I would imagine these would make lovely labels, though there is also a separate jam labelling kit available, I like to add one to birthday cards I am posting to the back to make sure it stays sealed and because they look cute. I definitely can't criticise the range and variety in this little book which is just lovely, though quite a few of the pages are just plain one-coloured stickers which are a bit less exciting than the floral and patterned ones and I would have liked to see some of the iconic star pattern and my daughter's favourite "retro flowers" print.
The finish on the sticker is paper, this means they are not as robust as they could be, but it does mean you can write on them and not worry about the ink smudging. They peel of the sheets easily and seem to stay firmly attached. They are nicely packaged with a little protective case you open, I keep mine in my kitchen drawer ready to be used for all those little labelling jobs when I want a quick fix. I love these stickers and at the sale price they are a bargain for any Kidston fan. Highly recommended.
Summary: perfect for making the world all perfect Kidstoness
