Little Miss has packed lunch only a couple of times a week but when her usual Hello Kitty lunch bag had done the lunch round for several months, this became the lunch box of choice.
We have seen these popular designs on greeting cards, calendars, posters and stationery and later found out that they are created by Rachael Hale who is a photographer in Auckland. She not only photographs cats such as the one on this lunch box, but also of dogs.
We bought the lunchbox in Toys r us for £9.99 which seems to be about average for this type of lunch box.
The lunch box is insulated so it keeps food cols although we also tend to put one of those small ice pack things as well to help things along. It is predominantly pink with nice sturdy and not too short handles with rather snazzy lilac stars at the bottom of each handle. It zips right round the front so that the front can be lifted fully back for easy access to the food inside the lunch box. On the front of the lunch box is samuel the kitten who was apparently the kitten of 2008. In this photo the cute little tabby kitten is wearing a surprised look and a string of pearls round his neck, hence the name Pearls are just purrfect. The back of the lunch box is pale pink and round the sides are large and small purple stars.
Inside the box is a nice sturdy pink sandwich box and a matching drinks bottle- everything we need for a packed lunch except the food!!
This lunch box is definitely a hit and has been well worth the money. Little Miss loves the design, it is nice and sturdy and well made. The sandwich box and drinks bottle mean it has all the important packed lunch bits and pieces and with them included the price tag is fairly low when I consider the cost of even just a drinks bottle.
A recommended buy for anyone liking this type of design.
