Advantages: Its pink for a while

Disadvantages: Reeks to high heaven

All I can say about Dulux Magic White is that it is a good paint because it has a pink tint to it and you can see where you have been, but I have used this just yesterday and I can safely say that the smell it has left me with is gut wrenching to say the least.

Due to hit and miss ceiling painting, white on off white, and attempting twice to get it looking cleaner with another product, the answer had to be "Buy Dulux Magic White and I will be able to see where I have been for a short while."

After about 20 minutes or so,I told hubby how smelly this was,but checked the paint tub for Low Odour & the only thing I could see that mentioned Low,was the VOCs Content ( Volatile Organic Compounds) which is to do with the contribution to atmospheric pollution.
After 4 hours of working on a 26 ft x 16 ft space, needless to say
I was so relieved to get the job done, but the stench was absolutely gut wrenching.

It smells like I reside In a sports locker that is stuffed to the eaves with 20 year old Trainers and socks that haven't been washed in the entire 20 years!
Doors wide open, windows wide open as they had been all through the application, and after!
My neighbours came in because I was sat outside and when explaining about the smell of the paint and how nauseating it made me feel, thought I was exaggerating and entered at their own risk.
They made a bee line in and was quicker coming out than going in I can tell you!
I was told to cut up an onion and place it in water so that it would absorb the odour and also burn some candles(unscented) to draw the odour away.
Taking in a deep breath,I dove into the kitchen and cut the onion in half, placed the pieces in water and put the bowls in the living room.
Did It help?
Not really, because I spent the rest of the day and evening upstairs in my bedroom unable to eat or drink anything due to the stench.

When I got up today,it was better but still smelly so candles are still burning everywhere just to make it easier to enter the room.
I have contacted Dulux and voiced my feelings on this paint very strongly indeed, and apparently they will contact me in 3 days or so.
So,whether I got a dodgy batch I' not too sure, but the upshot is that I would rather play hit and miss with my ceilings than ever use Dulux Magic White ever again.

72 hours later the remnants of odour is still in the living room, suble but still there..just a farmyard odour to contend with.Oink Oink!

Summary: wouldn't touch it with a barge pole
