Our entire flat needed painting and lazy little me that can't be bothered with all the bending and paint pouring decided this was the best option for us. After all, we had 5 rooms and a hallway that needed painting and I could see my back hurting before I started. Was I impressed? Sure. The shop took it back without a single question as if it had been returned a million times! No wonder it had £20 off when we bought it. ~~ The Product ~~ I think most people by now have seen the adverts on TV for the revolutionary Dulux Paint Pod that requires no pouring of paint into tubs and no bending down to refill your roller. It is basically a big machine that ... Read the complete review

At the end of last month I moved into my new house in Hertfordshire. As I am taking a few months out of the workforce, I am overseeing the ginormous amount of work that needs to be done and am personally handling the painting of just about every room in the house. With this in mind, my thoughtful husband suggested that a Dulux PaintPod roller system would make lighter of these tasks for me. The TV advertisements certainly made it seem this way and so we set off intent on making our purchase. We bought our system in Homebase for £69.99, although I think it is possible to get them a little bit cheaper elsewhere and last weekend B&Q were selling them for half ... Read the complete review

We bought out Dulux paint pod earlier in the year with a B&Q voucher, ready to do some major decorating this Summer. Well, the time finally came for us to use the Paint Pod. The Paint Pod has to be used with Paint Pod paint, and their range of colours is quite poor - especially if you want something other than a variant of white! Fortunately we'd decided quite a while ago to change our hall stairs and landing walls from yellow to bright white, so picked up a 'tub' of the paint pod paint ready for this. Thankfully, this was also the only colour Paint Pod do for around £20 - all the others are around the £30 mark for the same size! On the ... Read the complete review

This is something I looked into when it first came out as I like to repaint every year or so and generally do several rooms in one go. I liked the idea this does not make a mess as I am not fond of covering everywhere as no matter what I always manage to get paint somewhere - last year was gloss on the leather sofa, would not mention this but I was painting upstairs at the time!! I noticed the half price promotion on a TV advert at B&Q last weekend so bought one this week for £34. The main downside with the paint pod is that you have to purchase the dulux paint pod paints to use with it, these cost £29.99 for a 5 litre pot. So the paint ... Read the complete review

I'm not keen on decorating and when Dulux released the Paint Pod machine last year I have to admit I was very interested. I remember using a similar system as a kid with my dad when Dulux partnered up with Black & Decker back in 1997 when they released the Paint Mate. This was a compact back pack which used Dulux paint in a bag, the principle was simply the internal compressor forced the paint up through the hose to the roller. This worked really well but unfortunately Dulux decided to pull out of the partnership and stopped producing the paint. So my dad was left with a Betamax of DIY gadgetry until Black & Decker sent him a voucher to cover the ... Read the complete review
