      Very helpful

      Great price, great product

This is a review of the roller blind we bought recently from Dunelm, a store I enjoy browsing and visit quite a lot. I wanted something simple for the window in our new utility room and whilst black out was not necessarily a requirement in this case, I liked the dotty print which was available in a few different colours.

      My blind
I chose the beige blind (which is listed as brown on the website) but I can see it is available in blue and green as well as a mixture of spot colours, all pale pastel colours. Having measured the window we were able to buy the right width and the length, although too long really didn't matter as you can roll out as much or as little as you need. We just wanted to dress the top of the window really and perhaps roll it completely down if we are going away as the window looks out to the garden at the back of the house it is not one people will be peering inside anyway.

As well as the pattern and the material being a black out blind, the roller part of it also features a child safety cleat to keep cords away from children. This is not necessary for us where it is located but nice to have on anyway. You can sponge clean this material which is useful if it gets dusty or marked.

It took my husband around half an hour to fit the blind and he did this single handed, just asking me if I thought it was straight towards the end of the process. We did not have any previous fixtures at the window as it was a new build part of the house.

Prices start at £14.99 for the smallest size. Our blind was £22.99 for 162cm drop x 122cm width. The biggest blind is £29.99 (for 162 x 183).

      My thoughts
I love the look of this blind and am really pleased with the price. I think you can pay a lot more than this for similar results and for me this has been a simple solution to a plain room and window. OK so it's only a utility room but we still want it to look nice. As it didn't really have a colour theme, the beige spotty blind is neutral enough to blend in and looks really neat. For my kitchen I made curtains which look lovely and special in there but the blind was just the right finish for this room.

      Final word
I think these blinds are excellent quality and look great up. The choice of sizes help you to buy the best size for your window and we both agreed that this was the right look for our new room in the house. Dunelm have a great range of window blinds, from neutral and plain to unusual with New York sky line, teatime patchwork and pebbles and cockerels to maritime themes so there really is something to suit everyone in this collection.
