Advantages: Everything as this has style and functionality
Disadvantages: None for me at all!
One thing I have never been overly keen on is clocks. I hate the ticking noise that they tend to make and the fact that wherever there is a clock I find myself looking at it and either thinking time flies or it drags on!
However this was my stepdads choice and he bought it for me to brighten up my living room from the bare magnolia coloured walls I had and it cost him £24.99 which he thought was a fabulous price for such a well made and quality product and I was grateful to receive it!
This comes in only one size which is 43cm x 57cm (17" x 22") and its not only a clock but considered to be 3D wall art too so not only is it totally functional but it really is a lovely decoration too!
Its a large piece this though surprisingly not heavy at all. It hangs on the wall via a nail through a picture hook (that wasn't supplied) and is very well hung in my living room and to the back of it you simply pop in a AA batttery and there is a couple of small dials at the back of it to get the hands on the clock right.
The face of the clock is cream and with large enough black numbers on it that look a little worn, the hands are ornate and with of course two hands and a second hand to which seconds are depicted on the face in the way of lines. You can hear the clock tick but to be fair it isn't the loudest ticking noise I have ever heard and I personally don't find it annoying.
Around the clock face then you get the poppy decoration and you get ten beautiful, different shaped slightly poppies with black centres to each one. They look rather delicate and are a beautiful deep red shade opposed to in your face blood red which I hate. The quality of the poppies is lovely and they really do stand out without being garish.
The stems of the poppies are in like a metallic green colour as are the random buds and it all sort of sweeps around the clock face. Its wipe clean which is easy for me to take care of and really does take up a decent amount of space on my otherwise very plain and boring wall!
You can buy other matching items to this in Dunhelm and I own a couple (which I have reviewing on here also) so you can have as little of the pattern or as much as like really, for me I just wanted a couple of pieces to add colour.
This costing only £24.00 for what it is, is a bargain in my humble opinion. It looks worth much more and is of excellent quality and really draws the eye to it and what I do appreciate about it is that it really is not only very pretty but it is a fully functional clock that I can see clearly even at a distance and I love it as do my friends who are mega impressed with my new look living room!
Only available in Dunelm.
Summary: Lovely, thank you Dad David!
