Febreze Aerosol Caribbean Paradise Air Freshener
Advantages: quality, scent, naturally fresh, packaging, eliminates odours, longevity
Disadvantages: expensive but worth it
Febreze is a range of household products including cleaning liquids and home fragrance products. Today, I will be reviewing the Caribbean Paradise air freshener spray which is part of the Air Effects (not Mist and Refresh as stated above) range that Febreze offer.
This air freshener is designed to eliminate household odours rather than masking them. It has a special odour elimination technology and a non-flammable propellant which is made up of 80% nitrogen. As you would expect, the scent is designed to be exotic. A plug in and a candle in this identical scent are also available.
This air freshener is presented in a tall, attractive can. The can is blue with a floral design and features a trigger spray. The illustrations on the cannister show a sandy beach and some flowers and an open coconut - very exotic looking. The important product information and safety guidelines are noted on the can and it can be recycled once empty.
~Where To Buy~
Febreze is available from most supermarkets and stores such as Wilkinsons. At the moment, a 300ml can of Caribbean Paradise can be bought from Asda priced at just £2.00. The normal price is around £3.00 a can.
Febreze is my favoured brand when it comes to buying air fresheners. I like to keep my home looking and smelling fresh so spend quite a bit on extra scented goodies to enhance the cleanliness of my home and make it appear welcoming to guests. I always buy Febreze when it is on offer and find that in the long run, it is better value for money and more pleasant to use than the cheaper Glade air freshener sprays.
I have tried most of the Febreze sprays and whilst pondering which one to buy recently, I ended up deep in conversation with a fellow shopper who recommended a few of her favourites and I recommended a few of mine. I eventually opted for Caribbean Paradise at £2.00 a can (I bought from Asda) and this was a tough choice as I like most of the scents that Febreze offer! Anyway, I chose this particular one as I knew I liked it and I also like the plug in too.
Using this spray couldn't be simpler. The can is well designed, comfortable to hold and perfectly easy to store. I have never had issues with the trigger spray on Febreze can and this one is no exception. A quick pull back on the trigger whilst aiming the can into the middle of the room results in a fine mist being propelled into the air. What I like about Febreze is that the mist seems to cling in the air rather than immediately dropping to the floor. As we have mainly wooden flooring in our home, this is an excellent aspect as our flooring isn't left wet or slippy.
I use this around my home when guests are due or to eliminate cooking or unpleasant toilet odours (sorry!) and find that it works very well indeed. It isn't the strongest Febreze scent but you don't need to spray lots for the desired effect. It quickly eliminates odours and leaves my home smelling immediately clean and refreshed. I adore the scent of this particular spray as it is beautifully exotic and noticeable in the air without being overpowering or cough inducing. It is definitely the ideal scent to have lingering during warmer days and evenings as it fresh and Summery. I notice a lovely fruity, sweet scent which smells very natural and not at all synthetic like with cheaper air freshener sprays. I can pick up on pineapple, mango and perhaps a touch of something citrussy. If I spray this in the room that I am sitting in, I notice a creamy coconut undertone to the scent which I love. It is a well balanced, cocktail sort of scent which I find leaves my home smelling gorgeous.
I find this spray to effectively refresh each room in my home and leave it smelling clean and welcoming. The scent lasts longer than with cheaper sprays and is no where near as harsh - it just hangs in the air in a pleasant way. I notice the scent of Caribbean Paradise to last for an hour or two but the actual freshening and eliminating aspect of this spray to last several hours which I am impressed about. It is light, fragrant and tropical.
A 300ml of can of Febreze lasts well as you don't really need much per use. I find that with daily use, there is often still some left after a month or so. I can highly recommend Caribbean Paradise if you are a fan of exotic scents. It is well worth buying and I will be re-purchasing. The quality is excellent and you get a lot more in terms of scent and longevity for your money compared to cheaper sprays.
Thanks for reading :)
Summary: a lovely air freshener spray
