Advantages: gets rid of unpleasant smells and neutralise odours
Disadvantages: £3 a bit overpriced, not super long lasting
I don't smoke (thank God) but one thing that drives me up the wall is that my partner doesl Bless him, he mainly goes out to do it or opens the bedroom/front room window and has a puff but I can't stand the smell so cracking opening the window and giving a quick squirt of this febreeze helps me get rid of the awful aroma!
It comes in quite a unique aerosol can, which has a trigger lever to spray the mist around the room. It can quite resemble a type of kitchen/bathroom cleaning product but overall the packaging is not half bad as it is designed with a white background and blue top with a flower to resemble the scent of the mist.
I bought the scent in Cotton fresh from a Wilkinsons near where I live. These usually are quite a bit more costly at £3 for a 300ml but I got these as a bargain for a mere £2 some time ago! I think this is much more better value and a price I don't mind paying. The can states that Febreze eliminates odours and doesn't mask them. This is ideal, as I often find with traditional air fresheners the original awful smell just lingers and blends with a sharp and often more powerful air freshener smell and the two never compliment each other. With the Febreexe Mist & Refresh, I'd agree that it works much better to eradicate the original bad smell that may be in the home and leaves a light and subtle fresh fragrance behind.
I tend to spray it in the centre of the room and a few squirts is sufficient for it to diffuse and get to work pretty quickly. This is also suitable for use on linens and upholstery, and whilst I never directly spray it into my sofas, bed linen or rug etc it does find a way to disperse and leave a soft and gentle scent behind and really does help to eliminate odours! The only downside is this does wear a little thin and after perhaps an hour or so I'd definitely say the effects of this febreeze and mist is gone. Granted it does the job and does get rid of any unpleasant smoke smell but it is not long lasting.
Overall I like this febreeze but would not really pay more than the 2 quid for it. It's nice enough, to get rid of unpleasant smells and neutralise odours, but it is quite mild and gentle and I can't imagine it being powerful enough for things such as pets. It's not the most long lasting, but gets the job done for what I need it for.
Summary: freshens up our house, but not overly powerful for strong smells
