We recently celebrated our son Jayden's christening and had a small party afterwards. My mum and myself spent a lot of time beforehand choosing decorations for the room, both my mum and me have an obsession with everything matching and being colour co-ordinated and this was the case with everything we bought for the christening. One thing I knew I wanted was groups of helium filled balloons and chose some lovely cute Forever Friends ones, I bought mine from www.babynamingday.co.uk where they cost £2.50 each.
The foil balloons are round in shape with a diameter of approximately 43cm's, there is a lovely baby blue border around the edge which is approximately 7cm's wide, inside this are two further borders, one is made from simple flower shapes which are blue, green and yellow, the second border is a green checked one.
In the centre of the balloon there's a picture of a Forever Friends bear in a nappy along with the words " A Christening Wish". The picture is very sweet and despite the flowers around the border it doesn't in any way look girly, a pink version of this is available though is you are looking for something for a little girls christening. The pattern is repeated on both sides of the balloon so whatever way round the balloon floats it can still be seen.
I got these balloons filled with helium on the morning of the christening and I grouped 1 Forever Friends bear balloon with 2 plain blue ones, they .looked really nice, ideal for a little baby boys christening.
After the christening I took the balloons home where Jayden has loved watching them gently move, they lasted 3 weeks and then one morning I got up and they were all on the floor but I was pleased with how they stood up, the plain balloons I grouped them with only lasted a couple of days.
I do have one small niggle about them though, around the top edge of the balloon are a few warnings in tiny black writing and on the very bottom of the balloon there is a barcode printed on the foil. Although these did not really notice once the balloons were up and grouped I would have preferred they had been put on a separate label or a tag that could have been cut off, this aside though if you are ever planning a christening and are looking for helium balloons I would definitely recommend taking a look at these, they lasted well and looked lovely on the day and for sometime afterwards too.
I am giving them 4 stars knocking 1 off due to the warnings and barcode not being on a seperate tag.
