“ Brand: Ghost & Pumpkin / Misc House Type: Napkin „
In Birthdays buying some Halloween cups I noticed a matching pack of napkins, I had already bought napkins but I couldn't resist these lovely ones decorated with a cheerful ghost holding a carved pumpkin to compliment the cups.
I love the picture on these napkins because the ghost looks so happy and childlike, but a spooky colour scheme and bats flying around the dark night sky background makes them suitable for older children and even adults. They look great and everyone at my granddaughters' party loved them, some of the little ones even took one home with them in their party bags to show their mums! My sixteen month old granddaughter held hers carefully all night because she instantly fell in love with the ghost.
These napkins are 2-ply, which means they are two sheets thick. This is perfect for the purposes of my Halloween party but to be honest they do not make terribly good wipes for sticky faces as once opened the napkins are quite thin and tend to tear if used with any degree of force.
The napkins are a generous size and measure roughly 7 inches square, they then open out to make a larger square so good for tucking down the little ones fronts so they don't spill food down their lovely Halloween costumes.
I was quite surprised to find that the print off the napkin didn't transfer itself to surfaces, even when wet. This suggests they are a quality napkin, as I remember some cheap Christmas ones a few years ago which permanently stained my worktop green! They are also much more absorbent than they look and are perfectly capable of mopping up a moderate sized spill, they didn't manage terribly well when my granddaughter upended her bottle of milk all over the table but I didn't expect miracles as whole blue top milk requires a handful of kitchen roll and not a couple of napkins!
I paid £2.09 for this packet of 20 napkins which I thought was good value, I know I could have bought cheaper from Tesco or Wilkinsons but these napkins looked so strikingly unusual on the buffet table and went down so well with the children that I was happy to pay this.
