Glade Aerosol Magnolia and Vanilla
Advantages: Smells lovely, long lasting
Disadvantages: Only masks smells, not an odour eliminator
When you have a smoker and two dogs in the home, I am sure you can imagine some of the smells you can get in the home and they aren't particularly nice. Both myself and my partner are very mindful of this and windows are open as often as possible to bring some freshness into the home. Aside from this though, we have a vast array of air freshener products in the home which we use on a daily basis to ensure our home always smells fresh and clean.
My favourite fragrance for the home is magnolia and vanilla as I love the sweet, summery fragrance it produces and I think these two scents work really well together. Glade do a lovely magnolia and vanilla aerosol spray which I use very regularly along with others in the home.
Glade do a large range of air freshening products and I think they are the leading brand in this field. I generally get my air freshening products from our local Wilkinson's store as I think they are cheaper than supermarkets. A 300ml Glade aerosol costs in the region of around £1.25 from Wilkinson's, but they quite often have offers on their air freshening products so you can often pick this up for around £1.00.
Not only do I love the smell of this product, I think it is excellent quality too. Some cheaper air fresheners may smell nice when you first smell them but the scent soon disappears into oblivion. There is no point in using an air freshener if the smell disappears almost as soon as it is sprayed, but with this air freshener, you don't have that problem and you can still smell the air freshener a good few hours after it was first sprayed and it keeps our home smelling clean and fresh.
It is worth noting that this is purely an air freshener and not an odour eliminator like the likes of Oust, so it is only really masking smells rather than eliminating them but I do a great deal to try and eliminate smells too and then use this air freshener over the top to really make our home smell welcoming.
The aerosol has a dispenser which sprays upwards into the air, rather than a side dispenser like you would get with other air fresheners and I prefer this as you get a more general spray with a spray like this and it doesn't hit specific furniture. The spray sits in the air and falls over the entire room which is nice.
Overall, out of all the air fresheners we have tried and tested (and believe me, we have tried most), I genuinely believe this is my favourite of all. It is a lovely fresh smell which reminds me of ice cream in the summer and it isn't too strong or overpowering, but it is strong enough to leave a lasting, welcoming scent on your home and therefore it comes with a recommendation from me.
Summary: A lovely air freshener from the Glade range
