“ Brand: Glade / Product Type: Air Freshener „
When I can find it I buy this in 'Lily & Jasmine' I love the fresh scent it leaves in the home. It's quite a fresh and natural scent and once sprayed the scent does as it says and last's up to 1 hour.
I used to buy this in Asda at one point and then Poundland and now I can't find it!
It come's in a 300ml can and the 'Lily & Jasmine' is coloured in natural greens and creams and looks as though it would smell fresh as it does.
The can is curvy and has a green lid into which the spray button and spritz hole is intergrated.
I generally keep a bottle of air freshener on my landing window sill so I can spritz down the stairs and across the landing and up the third floor to keep the house smelling fresh, cooking smells seem to travel around the house as it's quite open plan so I do feel the need to spritz every now and again, no one wants a stinky house after all lol!
This is a favourite of mine, the light freshness of the white flowers is so clean smelling.
This deserves a 5/5.
==Glade Air Infusions==
I am terrible at going through air freshener and I also have a particular loath of those cheap ones that purely add to the nasty smell of following Himself into the bathroom so I try to stick to my favourite brand which I find works well at providing a nice smell and actually getting rid of the nasty odours as well. Neutradol is my air freshener of choice and this usually costs around £1.20 odd if purchased at a supermarket but I will often stock up when in Poundland. However on my last trip to the store they didn't have any of this brand in and because I needed some I had to branch out and try this Glade Air Infusions instead.
For £1 the price is pretty good and I would expect that if bought elsewhere it would be a little more expensive. The can of air freshener holds 300ml which is a standard amount for most air fresheners even if the can of this one appears smaller than most as it is rather dumpy in comparison. The design of the can is a little different from most and this is probably one of the reasons why I was drawn to this particular brand over all the others than were on offer. Also the fact that it claims to "last up to 1 hour".
The fragrance I purchased was Pink Peony and Cotton Flower which is why it has a pink plastic top to the can. The direction of the spray itself comes out from the top side of the can rather than the usual straight up direction of the air fresheners that I am used to. This took a little while to get used to as on auto pilot I tend to point it up to the sky and expect the freshness to come out of the top.
The smell of the air freshener is actually quite nice and although really floral doesn't seem like one of the super cheap air fresheners that has a horrible floral smell that just mingles with the nasty smell you are trying to get rid of and just ends up becoming one really bad smell. This air freshener seems to give a nice aroma and really get rid of the initial pong which is a very good thing. The fragrance is strong but because I like the smell of the product this again is a plus point.
The fact that Glade claim that the air freshener smell will last up to an hour is actually pretty spot on. I haven't actually measured the amount of time but the nice floral aroma lingers around the room for a very reasonable amount of time after use. I would say that when using the air freshener I did find it to be rather thick in dispersing and it left a slight dampness to my kitchen floor (laminate flooring) and although it didn't make it wet to walk on or slippery, I could certainly see that this product had been used and I have never had this when using my trusted old Neutradol brand.
I think this is on the whole a very good air freshener and does actually do what it claims to do. The floral aroma is a nice one although I wouldn't think that it would be to everyone's liking. I still have to say that I do prefer the Neutradol air freshener over this one but I wouldn't be upset about having to buy this particular product again if my regular brand wasn't available. The can itself has been used almost daily for a good week now and it still has plenty of the product left inside to use. I find a mere 3 or 4 second hold down on the squirter releases enough of the spray to mask any smell in one room well enough.
All in all I think it has to be a fairly good score for the Glad Air Infusions. I like the fact that it was purchased at a very reasonable price and the fact that the claims made by Glade are in fact true. The smell is a good one and the lingering affects of the product are very good indeed. So a 4 out of 5 stars is very much in order for this product and I would recommend it to all that ask. It hasn't beaten my favourite but I shouldn't think many competitors would beat it.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
Glade air infusions is made by a company called SC Johnson and son founded in 1886, they make numerous of our day to day products such as Glade, Mr Muscle, Pledge, Duck and Oust to name a few.
Glade air infusions is a household air freshener and is available is 3 fragrances, Pink Peony and Cotton Flower, Lily and Jasmine and Violet and Ylang Ylang. As usual with me I decided to give it a try when I saw it on offer in the local supermarket, I think I paid about a £1 for it and was drawn to the pink one as it claims that the fragranced lasts for up to an hour.
The tin holds 300ml of product, and has curved sides making it look sleek with a pink aerosol lid on the top. On the front of the tin is the Glade logo along with the name and fragrance of the product and pictures of pink flowers with faded leaves behind them. On the rear of the tin are the directions for use, shake well and spray towards the centre of the room. There are actually quite a few don't on the rear of the tin to say it's just an air freshener, don't use on fabrics, keep away from children, keep away from sources of ignition, no smoking, do not breathe spray, rinse immediately if in contact with eyes, use only in well ventilated areas and of course the warning of flammability. All the warnings are in 3 languages and the final one is solvent abuse can kill instantly.
The spray of the product gives quite a burst with a little press so you don't need much of it at all, I'm not sure what peony and cotton flowers smell like but to me it smells of pink roses and is quite refreshing. The one thing I didn't expect from this product is it does actually last at least an hour if not more, obviously it lasts longer in smaller rooms.
I would recommend this product as it is a pretty smell which isn't too strong and lasts, it is priced in comparison with other air fresheners and a tin does last.
I don't often buy 'air fresheners' as they can sometimes come across as being too overwhelming when sprayed, but when I saw this - Glade Air Infusion - on offer recently I really liked the sound of it and decided to try it. The fact that it was on an offer price of just £1 made it come across as even more appealing as I do like a good bargain.
Though it is apparently available in a range of other fragrances (including Lily & Jasmine), the only choice at my local store was this very pretty sounding Pink Peony & Cotton Flower so that was the one I had to choose.
The main selling point for me, apart from the delicious sounding ingredients used, was the fact it states it lasts up to one hour after usage.
This for me is an essential when purchasing these types of products as it is highly frustrating when you buy an air freshener only for the fragrance to disappear very shortly after spraying.
Air Infusions come housed in slightly curvaceous shaped canisters that dip in slightly at the 'waist' giving it an almost hour glass shape appearance. I think the main factor behind this is as the can is slightly stubby it makes it easier to grip when spraying. The nozzle is an integrated affair that is positioned on the top of the can at an angle so when spritzed it comes out horizontal.
As mentioned the one I bought is the pink peony and cotton flower fragrance, so the colouring of the can is predominantly pink with smatterings of flowers around the can.
Using the spray~
To use the spray is very easy as you simply aim the can in the desired direction and press the 'trigger'. The spray is emitted in a fine mist and is very watery in consistency. It seems to hold itself in the air for a while before it completely disperses itself so when I first used it I had high hopes of it's lasting capabilities.
I was dubious of this lasting the promised full one hour when I used it for the first time, but if it lasted half of that time I would be happy. On spraying in my bathroom before leaving on the school run, I knew I would be out at least 45 minutes to one hour as I had some errands to run before I returned home.
The air freshener comes out quite quickly but doesn't fall down straight away, it definitely seems to hang in the air for a while and has the most beautiful floral scent to it. It's sweet without being over sickly and fragranced my rooms delicately instead of being over powering. On my first experience of using this I was out of the house for about 50 minutes and on my return I could immediately smell it. It certainly lasted for around the hour mark as promised though does fade quickly after the 60 minutes seem to be up! That aside it promises and delivers so that always scores points with me.
This is an ideal air freshener that lives up to it's name by infusing the air whilst leaving a subtle aroma around the house. If interested in trying this it is made by Glade and comes in a 300ml sized can. Prices will no doubt vary but I bought this for £1 but have seen it for twice this price at different stores so do shop around.
I always find myself buying air freshner to keep my home smelling fresh and Glade Air Infusions are one of my favourites.
The fragrance I have is pink peony and cotton flower and it smells like a perfume. It is a nice flowery smell but doesn't smell artificial. It is a quite a feminine sensual smell which works very well to freshen my house.
I pay about £1 for it which is a good price as I find it lasts me quite a while depending on how much I use it. I use plug in air freshners too but find that I sometimes don't notice the smell after having them for a while whereas when I use this spray air freshner it really seems to freshen the air and I can always smell it after using it. The can says the smell lasts up to an hour and it does last really well and makes my home smell clean and perfumed. I think it lasts at least an hour.
I like the fact that it is really quick to use as just press the top of the can for a burst of fragrance so it means if we have unexpected visitors I make my home smell nice instantly without having to wait for it to circulate.
Another thing that I like about it is that I can take it into every room in the house and instantly freshnen up the whole house which makes it really quite, simple and convenient to make my home smell clean.
I would definately recommend this as I have a toddler and a dog and find that any unpleasant odours can instantly be got rid of by using this so it definately works and is good to have on hand.
When we don't buy Oust, which we usually get, we tend to buy Glade Air Infusions as it smells a lot nicer and works pretty well at masking bad odours. Whether you just want to freshen up a room or cover up a bad smell. We were attracted to the spray whilst shopping by the unique bottle design and the attractive fragrances they came in.
So far we have only tried the Lily and Jasmine spray as we have become quite acquainted with the lovely smell! It comes in quite a fat looking bottle - 300ml in size, so not bad. It costs around £2 depending on where you get it from. Ours usually lasts quite a while but it depends when and where and what you use it for! As a general all-round air freshener, it may go quite quickly but if it's limited to a bathroom, it will probably last a lot longer!
The lily and jasmine variety we have tried is just lovely and has a wonderful aroma. It is very flowery as you can imagine and quite light with a slightly stronger hint of jasmine in there. The spray seems to cover up most bad odours and they don't lurk back after 10 minutes!
The bottle is green with the Glade Air Infusions logo in quite a light-feeling writing. The can is decorated with lily and jasmine flowers. The spray button needs to be broken with a click before it works and then you can easily spray it, which works well. I find the odour seems to hang around long enough to leave the room smelling naturally fresh thanks to the natural aroma. Compared to other air fresheners we have had in the past, this one is definitely one of our favourite! I much prefer it to the ones you plug in, as you can immediately notice the smell once it's sprayed rather than getting used to it and not noticing it. I'd certainly recommend trying this one out as the fragrance smells so lovely, despite the slightly premium price!
Thanks for reading!
Glade is part of the SC Johnson company who pride themselves on being a family company. Glade specialise in creating products to make your home smell lovely. The range includes air freshener sprays, candles, solid fresheners, gels and more. There is a wide range of scents to choose from dependant on your personal preference.
**Product and Range**
Air Infusions is one of Glades air freshener sprays ranges.
Currently, there are 2 scents available in major supermarkets and stores which are :
Pink Peony and Cotton Flower
Lily and Jasmine
There appears to be another which is Ylang Ylang but I cannot locate information on this one. The spray I have is the Pink Peony and Cotton Flower so this review will concentrate on that!
Air Infusions have been formulated with an Ultralast technology which is design to keep the scent around for up to 1hour. The Pink Peony and Cotton Flower scent is described as combining the gentle fragrance of peony with the romantic notes of the cotton flower.
Air Infusions comes in a standard tin can which is curved up around the edges adding a sleek and stylish appearance. My can is a gorgeous blend of pink and white colours and comes complete with a pink top. There is no lid, the spray is integrated into the top of the can and is operated by a slightly larger than regular finger sized button!
The front of the can is adorned with pretty flowers which closely surround the brand and product name. The dark blue to purple writing on the back offers us various information including directions for use, warnings and contact details for the company. This comes in the form of 3 different language translations.
**Using and Warnings**
Give the can a shake, point to the middle of the room and gently spray to release the scent.
This should not be used on fabrics and should be kept out of reach of children. Common sense prevails with information such as spray in a ventilated area, do not smoke, inhale etc.
**Availability and Price**
Air Infusions comes in a 300ml size. It can be bought in supermarkets and local pound stores at around £1.00-£2.29.
I love a fresh smelling home. I have two smelly males in the house and at the moment, we have a bathroom with no window. Living in a tower, makes it a little more difficult to get air around the house and cooking and other unpleasant smells can linger. I have a plug in freshener in my living room but they are expensive to have in every room so I like a spray to freshen up the rooms as I go. Opening windows is a simpler and cheaper option, but with a toddler like mine..I don't fancy seeing him falling 3 floors so sprays it is!
My normal choice for air freshener is Febreeze as I feel it lasts so much longer than others. It is rather expensive though at over £2.00 a can. I spotted this in the fairly new Pound World which has opened in my town centre. It of course was priced at a very reasonable £1.00 per can and stood next to the Lily and Jasmine scent. I was in need of a new air freshener so chose this Pink Peony and Cotton Flower.
I love the can this spray comes in! It is curvy and stands out well from your bog standard straight up and down cans. The exclusion of a lid doesn't pose much of an issue unless something hits off it in your bag coming home from the shops. With that being said, you do need a good press of the button to get the spray going. The design of the can is striking and very girly. The floral images and pink background prove to be inviting and all information needed is in clear and consise writing.
The scent appealed to me. Although I love sweet or fruity scents, when it comes to my home, I feel fresh and delicate floral scents are nicer. Glade claim this will last up to 1hour. So lets get on with it...
The curvy nature of the can allows it to be held with ease in the hand. This helps when I am moving around the house with my cleaning stuff. The nozzle for releasing the spray is quite small but pressing the little button down, I was made aware that it opens up to release quite a substantial spray.
The air freshener comes out in quite a harsh, white mist and when sprayed into the centre of the room, it dispenses well and covers a large area. It soon evaporates into the air and the white mist is replaced with a clear, twinkling mist whilst falling. It doesn't leave any marks or dampness of the carpet or flooring which is ideal.
The scent is pleasant. It is floral but not in your face and is incredibly fresh. It doesn't choke you like some other air fresheners but I still open a window slightly and never spray if my son is running around. There is a slight sweetness to the scent which reduces the overall floral notes and I feel this is why it doesn't overpower.
I have found with some air fresheners, they can smell fake, cheap or completely rank. Despite being a pound a can, this is quite high quality in scent and makes my rooms smell inviting and very clean. The claim that the scent will last for 1hr in my opinion is a bit optimistic. I would say the actual floral scent lasts for around 30mins but I can still detect a distinct freshness in my rooms for a good few hours. As my bathroom is contained, I feel the scent lasts a bit longer in there.
The ulitmate test of its strength was after a regular stinky bum change. The scent covered the lingering aroma up for about 20mins before it returned with avengence. Boos no2s and pink peony don't mix too well! Unfortuantely this spray isn't designed to eliminate odours like my regular Febreze so I wasn't expecting any miracles on these grounds.
You don't need much spray to scent and freshen up a room but I found that I needed more than with the Febreze. One 300ml can lasted me just shy of a week with regular spraying which isn't too bad but could be better.
At £1.00 for a lovely and fresh scent, this is cheap though I wouldn't pay anymore than this and I will still opt for Febreze when on offer.

Glade Air Infusions
Description: Manufacturer: SC Johnson / Air Fresheners / Glade Air Infusions freshens the air with a subtle blend of natural scents. Packaged in a refreshing and sleek design, Glade Air Infusions air freshener perfumes the air with fragrance that lasts up to one hour.
I should probably begin this review by explaining that I have pets (2 Siamese cats and a small dog) and so am extra conscious of keeping my house spotless and smelling fresh. I have tried heaps of different products over the years, looking for something natural and easy to use. To be perfectly honest, I do tend to prefer Yankee Candles for home fragrancing, but these are expensive and of course, you can't just go out and leave them burning for fear of reducing the house to ashes!
This range of air fresheners has 3 different varieties, violet and ylang-ylang, lily and jasmine and pink peony and cotton flower. I managed to but a 300ml can for just £1 in a local supermarket where they were being sold on special offer.
I used the violet and ylang ylang one as I like both of these fragrances. The aerosol is easy to use, there is no lid to remove so you simply point the can and spray as required.
The fragrance of this air freshener is quite subtle yet very easy to detect as soon as you walk into the room. It isn't one of those sprays that seem to catch you in the back of the throat and make you cough, yet it certainly fills the room with a sweet and floral fragrance which is slightly exotic, probably due to the ylang ylang.
Glade claim that this air freshener lasts up to an hour after spraying, and I did find that if I sprayed, went out and then came back in a couple of hours later, I could still smell traces of it, which was nice. It doesn't seem too artificial or synthetic, but has a genuinely natural scent which works well to keep your home smelling fresh and clean.
I think that I would probably pay full price for this one (around £1.80 I believe) because it was quite effective and had a really great fragrance which lasted well. I am planning on going back to the supermarket and trying some of the other varieties before the special offer finishes and they go up to full price!
I looked at a can of Glade air infusions and I was hooked, S.C. Johnson have certainly put this product in attractive packaging.
There are three fragrances in this new range from Glade, Violet and Ylang-ylang, Pink Peony and Cotton Flower and Lily and Jasmine.
The cans all look very decorative, the colour scheme has been well thought out and the tops of the cans match the colour of the flower that has been used as perfume for the air freshener.
Glade have also given the cans an `hour glass` figure, this means that the cans are easy to grasp and hold on to. I don't know about you but I always tend to leave my can of air freshener spray where it can be seen, or no-one bothers to use it, hence lingering smells are left to linger which can be unpleasant.
I am not a `violet` fan but I immediately knew that the Lily and Jasmine fragrance was the one for me, I love the sweet heady smell of Jasmine and combined with the lily fragrance it it just had to be nothing short of gorgeous.
Glade have decided to build the aerosol into the plastic top of the can, I favour that way, it saves fiddling about trying to remove the lid of the can which you inevitably end up losing anyway. I usually place my aerosol in the bathroom, it sits on the windowsill and it is poised and ready for action. Glade advise that you shake the can gently before use and that you hold it in an upright position when you activate the spray.
I know that Glade have made the Touch and Fresh sprays especially for use in the bathroom but I think that they work out to be more expensive than using an ordinary aerosol and in the long run they are no more effective.
We have no children living with us so we don't have to worry about leaving the can of Glade spray in the windowsill but I appreciate that many would be concerned about the potential hazards of aerosol cans.
The button on the top of the can is easy to press and the spray comes out light and misty, it is as expected initally a very strong sweet floral fragrance that fills the air completely. The fine misty spray soon settles down and within a couple of minutes the smell starts to fade. The Lily and Jasmine fragrance is definitely a very feminine perfume and I love it, it is the perfect mask for unwanted odour.
But that is exactly what the Glade air fusion is - a mask. The sweet fragrance is there to temporarily cover up unwanted smells and at the most the sweet smell will last an hour. Glade have designed the spray so that it actually infuses the air and therfore lasts that little bit longer than conventional aerosol sprays.
There are many times that you just want to freshen up stale air and the Glade air fusion is the perfect temporary measure. Utility rooms often get stale and dank, shoe cupboards can hum, stale cooking smells can linger and the Glade aerosol can help .
I feel that we all like out abode to smell as fresh as it possibly can, in the warmer weather we can open the windows and let the fresh air do the work but in colder weather we have to rely on air fresheners to do the job for us.
Because the product is contained within an aerosol can there are the normal warnings, do not punture the can, do not burn it or inhale the contents. Keep the can well away from sunlight and follow the directions on the can for use. Keep the spray away from fabric.
But there is some good news, the 300ml steel can is recyclable.
I like this product, Glade have designed the container well and they have filled it with effective air freshener. I paid slightly under £2 for my can of Glade air infusions and I am sure that I will be replacing it when it is empty.
Glade Air Infusions
A "Welcoming Scent Of Home"
Well that's what it says on the tin.
~~Reason For Purchasing.~~
I have always loved glade products and found them to be very good, so when I was out shopping last week I was pleased to see this new air freshener by glade called Air infusions on sale, in my local supermarket. As far as I am aware, it has just come onto the market because it's the first I have seen it before. The price actually is what caught my eye, as it was advertised in huge red lettering on the shelf where it was displayed, that it only cost £1 and I love to see a bargain. I was looking for an air freshener anyway, as I go through quite a lot of them a week. I use them to hide my cigarette odour from my husband, as I am not supposed to smoke in my house, but I do, when my Husband goes to work at night and when I am on my laptop on Ciao. It's way too cold to go outside to smoke.
Well anyway. I did not see any other varieties or fragrances on the supermarket shelf that day, in this new Air infusion range, where I bought it, though I am sure there is more great scents, but I do like violet fragrances and thought I would give this one a try. I actually bought two of them, as I knew it would not be on offer for too long and I really am glad I did now, as it has gone up to it's full retail price.
When I first brought this product home, me being me of course, had to try it out, before I even had unpacked my shopping. Well, I was really pleased with this fragrance when I first sprayed it around my home and my husband even remarked on the nice smell, whenever he came home from work. It must hide cigarette smoke aromas well then, as I had smoked around 20 cigarettes prior to spraying it, before he came in from work that night.
~~Packaging And Design.~~
Glade Air Infusions comes in a lovely restyled, modern canister, which is quite small and compact compared to other Glade air fresheners I have used before. It is quite an attractive design printed onto the white metal canister and features pictures of Violets and the Ylang Ylang flower. All the lettering and the brand name "Glade" is carefully designed onto the canister also and it is very easy and clear to read. Also printed on to the front is the fragrance, which is violet and ylang ylang in nice purple lettering and also the words "Lasts up to one hour" which is a plus point to me, to draw customers into buying it, as any air freshener which claims to do this with it's fragrance, must be good!
On the back of the canister is the makers name of SC Johnson, all the directions of using this product, ingredients and three warning signs, that it is highly flammable, that it should be stored under 50oc and it should not be inhaled. These are all easy to read and printed in blue lettering. The size of the canister is also printer in big letters, which is 300ml.
This canister also has a lovely violet coloured, built in lid which compliments the canisters flower pictures very well. This lid contains the spray button, which I find is very easy to press down and lets out the perfect amount of air freshener in a gentle spray of mist. One spray if enough I find for the perfect aroma in my room, which is not overpowering or which makes me sneeze.
The overall design of this air freshener is really nice. It really looks great, is light weight to hold and the spray nozzle it's self is very easy to use. One of the best designed canisters I have used so far with any air freshener and also it takes up very little space in my kitchen cupboard, as I find some air freshener canisters are too tall. A perfect design indeed!
~~Overall Effect Of This Air Freshener~~
Well as I said before I really was very pleased with the fragrance of this air freshener by Glade. One gentle spray of this product, really gives out the most beautiful fragrance in my room. When I first tried this air freshener out, I could smell this beautiful fragrance within five seconds of spraying it. It really is not an over powering fragrance either, that gets up your nose. It is more a fresh, natural, floral smell, that has a musk note to it in my opinion. I really like this fragrance a lot.
I sprayed this air freshener a few times a day in my room, where I smoke and if I go out of that room and return, I can still smell the lovely fragrance from the air freshener up to an hour later, as it claims on the tin. I am really pleased that it lasts so long, as most air fresheners fade away after only a few minutes, but not this one. This fragrance really does last well.
I smoke, as I also have explained before and spray this a few times before my Husband comes home from work, as I am not allowed to smoke in the house, but I do. Well it disguises the cigarette smell really well, as my husband has commented a few times on the lovely fragrance and I tell him it's the new glade air freshener that I bought, so I am well pleased about it hiding my smelly, bad habit aroma and cannot believe my husband can not smell the cigarettes and just this air fresheners fragrance.
I also use this air freshener in my Children's rooms, in my bathroom and after a meal. It really does eliminate odours very well, within minutes of spraying it. It really is a great new product I am pleased to have purchased and certainly will be buying it a lot more now. It really is not overpowering at all and leaves a lovely, fresh and gentle aroma, for up to an hour after spraying it. I am asthmatic also and it does not make me sneeze or wheeze, which is great.
I have also been using this air freshener quite a lot and the canister still feels as if there is plenty in it. My first tin lasted over a week, but I did spray this a lot at night, after I smoked. I really would say this is very good though. It seems to go a long way, for such a compact little canister.
*Subtle musky notes.
~~A Little Bit About This Product.~~
Glade Air Infusions claims on the tin, that the fragrance will last for up to one hour. Well it does. It is a pressurised canister and it has to be stored under 50oc, or it could explode. It is highly flammable also, so it should not be used near naked flames or even sprayed onto fabric. It should not be inhaled either, as this can kill.
This Glade air fresheners directions of use is to, shake it well, spray in to the centre of a room, away from your face. It cannot be used on Fabric.
~~My Overall Opinion Of Air Infusions.~~
Well this is a great air freshener, I am so pleased I bought. I am glad I picked it up on special offer also, at the start and when I first saw it or I might have passed this by. For under £1 it is excellent. Even at the full retail price it is great value. I certainly will pay the full retail price for this air freshener, as it works really well and a tin lasts a long time also.
The fragrance is one of the nicest in a canister spray air freshener, I have come across, so far also. It really is very unique and leaves a lovely fresh floral, yet light scent in my rooms for a long time. I really love the hint of musk in this fragrance also or maybe its the Ylang Ylang combined with it, well whatever it is, it really is very nice indeed! I just love this unique fragrance. It would make a great perfume scent in my opinion.
The overall design and effectiveness of this air freshener is excellent. It's very simple to use and not overpowering, as I said before. It really looks good, smells wonderful and last incredibly well. I really will be buying this air freshener from now on, as it takes care of odours very well.
Would I recommend this? I certainly would highly recommend this product. I really think this air freshener, could win product of the year. It is excellent! It gets full marks in every department from me. I have used many products like this one, but what I really love is the fragrance. It is so unique and not that over powering fragrance, that you seem to get from most air fresheners. It is perfect! It claims to last for up to one hour and it does. I can smell it's aroma for ages.
Overall Glade Air Infusions is the best air freshener I have ever came across, that I really would highly recommend everyone to try out. You really will not be disappointed with it at all. It is great! At the moment it is on offer, as its fairly new, but even at full price it is excellent value for money. Thanks Glade. It does not my effect my asthma either. Which is excellent!
This review is also on other sites under hildas/hillhead(me):)
First of all, I'd like to say that the only reason I bought this air freshener is because the scent was Lily & Jasmine; which are the names of two of my horses! I wasn't expecting much from it, as it was only cheap costing £1.99, but I was pleasantly suprised. Glade Air Infusions come in several different fragrances, but this one is by far my favourite, and I'm not just saying that because it's got the same name as my horses! We also have the Clean Linen version, which is nice, but not as good as this one.
I first saw the bottle on the shelf and my eye was immediately drawn to it. It has pictures of Lily's and Jasmine's on, with a green and white background. In my opinion it all looks very 'fresh' and pretty. The bottle is not just cylindrical, but it is slightly curved in the middle, which makes holding and spraying this air freshener much easier than a normal bottle. I have small hands and I find that my hands slide down the bottle of normal ones! It is really easy to use. On the bottle there is a 'Glade' logo at the top, which is a blue background with white letters. Beneath this the words 'Air Infusions' are shown in green letters. This fits in nicely with the pictures of the flowers as the colours match. Underneath this the fragrance is labeled as 'Lily & Jasmine' and you are told that it 'Lasts up to 1 Hour'.
I find the scent really appealing. It smells fresh and sweet, like flowers. On the back of the bottle it says 'Glade Air Infusions Lily & Jasmine diffuses floral notes of elegant white flowers.' which is certainly true, you can really smell the floral fragrance. The smell reminds me of summer because of the flowers! As it lasts so long, the slogan 'Welcoming Scent of Home' is really true, as when you arrive back home you can often still smell the air freshener. As long as you don't go out for long, as it only lasts up to an hour, as it says on the bottle. I have four dogs and I go to a farm twice a day (for my horses!) so a good airfreshener is essential really, in my house. The bottle holds 300ml of air freshener, which is a decent amount for what I need. I tend to use it in the living room and my bedroom mostly.
It has all of the usual warnings on the bottle, for example 'SOLVENT ABUSE CAN KILL INSTANTLY' and 'EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE' and has a few easy to follow directions for using this product. These are:
'Shake can well. To freshen the air, point can towards centre of room and spray. This product is not recommended for use on fabric.'
They are basic instructions but are all that is needed for this item. I find that this air freshener does the job just fine and I would certainly purchase it again.
Being a full-time mum means that there are constantly people visiting to play with their children, there are three adults living in our house and a terror of a toddler who seems to emit smells from morning until night, throw into the mix a cat and you get one slightly odour concious woman! I love the smell of a fresh clean house and so would hate to have a home that people walk into and feel the need to hold their breath for fear of smelling anything!
I imagine I am like many people, I loathe air fresheners that cling to the smells in your home, mix with them and create an even worse smell.
I have never been a big Glade fan however I discovered this product on offer in my local Tesco and rather impulsively picked it up, I am not an impulse buyer so feel that it was the packaging that made my hand reach for it!
The packaging is bright, colourful and eyecatching as well as informative. The can is curved making it the ideal shape for ease of holding, it has a purple plastic lid that does not detatch, designed for easy spraying.
The can carries all the usual warnings about keeping away from naked flames and children.
This product can be quite strong whern you first spray it although it does fade to a soft subtle fragrance that is reminiscent of my favourite childhood sweet, Parma violets.
Ylang ylang is a small green-yellow flower, occasionally pink that smells similar to jasmine, it is a delicate scent and is thought to be an aphrodisiac. It is used in aromatherapy oils and believed to have calming properties. The ylang ylang (pronounced ee-lang ee-lang) adds a muskier edge to the air freshener which I feel makes it smell less one dimensional.
This product carries the claim that it lasts up to one hour, I mostly agree with this statement although I found that I had to spray it rather liberally to achieve this!
Would I buy it again? Probably not.
This product did work on tobacco, dirty nappy, cat tray and general food smells, however although it is subtle compared to other products in the Glade range I still found it to be a quite overpowering and choky at times. Personally I would not recommend this product to people who are sensitive to strong smells and who have young children.
I would prefer it if this product did not just mask smells which is unfortunately all it does.
It is not an altogether unpleasant air freshner but I think I will stick to opening my windows and blasting good old fresh air through the house!
If you think that this air freshner is the one suited to your house then you can pick it up at Tesco or Co-op and I would imagine most other supermarkets for around £1.99 for a 300ml can.

Before I discovered Nougat Room Mist, I used to use Glade Air Infusions Violet and Ylang-Ylang air freshener. I spotted the air freshener in Tesco's about a year ago because of bright purple lid on the tin. The use of colouring and the curvy shape of the tin made it stand out from the rest of the other air fresheners on the shelves. It was a little more expensive than the other air fresheners costing £1.99 per tin; where as all the others were retailing at under a £1; but I decided to buy it regardless of the price.
I love the scent of this particular air freshener because it has a really unusual scent which I think smells similar to perfume. I was surprised when I first used this air freshener because I was half expecting it to have a really artificial floral scent which was really heavy and only fragranced the room for about five minutes before it died down never to be smelled again until the next spray around the room.
The air freshener has a really light fragrance which doesn't smell too floral even although violet and ylang-ylang are flowers. I would say that it had a very sweet uplifting fragrance which creates a rich warm relaxing and warming atmosphere around the home.
As soon as the air freshener is sprayed the room is filled with a sweet fragrance which is then accompanied by a gorgeous subtle floral undertone; quite similar to the scent of Jasmine. The sweet aroma which is accompanied with the subtle floral undertones is gorgeous and seems to mix well together.
The Violet gives the air freshener its lovely uplifting sweet aroma, and this is most probably the reason I associated the scent of the air freshener with a perfume. Violets are commonly used as middle or base notes in perfumes because of the sweet aroma which they produce.
Ylang-ylang gives the air freshener its subtle floral aroma, the ylang-ylang mixes well with the violet because it has a rich sweet floral aroma. Ylang-ylang is like a perfume because it too has fragrance notes. Ylang-ylang is rich and deep with notes of rubber and custard, which are accompanied by the richness of jasmine and neroli. Ylang-ylang produces oil which is used in perfumes; so this is another reason to back up my claims that the air freshener does in fact smell like a perfume. Ylang-Ylang is used in oriental or floral perfumes such as Christian Dior poison or Calvin Klein's Escape.
The aroma from the air freshener lingers in the air for a long time; much longer than the hour which Glade claimed it would on the front of the tin. I found that the scent from the air freshener lingered in the air for up to three hours before it completely faded. The air freshener was also good at eliminating the scent of tobacco smoke from the house. I found that when I used glade's Vanilla air freshener that it made the smell of the tobacco smoke ten times worse, the air infusions one definitely hides the smell of the smoke. This is a great thing because there are two of us who smoke in the house and I hate the house smelling of the smoke.
On average a tin of Glade Air Infusions Violet and ylang-ylang lasted me about three or four days. This is because I used it in every room in the house up to three times a day because I love the scent of it. I still buy the air freshener now and again so as I can have a break from using the Nougat room Mist.
The Glade Air Infusions is also available in two other fragrances, which are; Lily and Jasmine, Pink Peony and Cotton Flowers. A tin of the air freshener costs £1.99 and you can buy it from Tesco's, ASDA, Morrison's etc
