Before I take this review any further, I will admit my addiction right now, candles are my weakness. Every night, soon as it starts to get dark, i get my collection out along with a box o matches and light the babies up. I am currently strugeling with a condition called post traumatc stress, some of you might of heared about it before. My Doctor told me I need to try and relax a bit more, to try and find a routie that works for me, along with some medication I should soon start to see the benifets. So as you can imagine, after trying the candles I have found that they do help me relaz, so much so, that I have turned into the candle lady. I use them in my livingroom when I come home from the school run, in the bathroom when I have my night time bath, in the kitchen for a romantic meal mood, and in the bedroom to well... you know. Make me get sleepy for bed time, bet you were thinking something else there. (naughty, naughty) As you can imagine I hava quite a few so you will probably see a few more reviews from me in on candles in the future.
This current one that I am doing the review on today is by glade (see pic) You normally find that Glade candles are on special offer from time to time but it has been known to find them in the pound shop. Im not sure how much mine cost as it was a present from my mother but I have done some research and you can get them from ASDA for nomally \'a34 but on roll back at the moment for \'a32. It has to be said, I love a bargain I mean doesn't everyone? Thats a saving of \'a32 or if like me you can help yourself two for the price of one (wink.)
I like the range of scents that Glade has to offer and they seem to match the weather seasons rather well. The candles are well presented in a beautifully decorative glass jar. Each fragrance has different designs, which not only does it make it easiler to pick out in the shops if you decide that you want another one but also for a change, no one likes to look at the same thing all the time, unless it is your boyfriend that is and your stuck with him. They come in a variety of different scents and titles. I have found a few different ones that are available to purchuse. Winter berries ,spiced Apples, glistening snow, with love, enchanting night, honey and chocolate.
Out of the seven listed above I have used three of them, so I am going to give you my opinion on the ones that I have tried.
With Love ~ This is one of my favourates, it was a present from my Mother. It comes in a pink coloured jar with gold and red love hearts. The candle itself is a very light pink colour. The smell is a floral scent, I am not usually keen on floral smells but it reminds me of, you know when you get a big bouquet of flowers? It's just think that fresh sweet smell of flowers with a mixture of jasmine and a hint of fruit. I think that Glade has put the hearts on the glas of the candle as it is quite a romantic scent. The strong is nice and airs the full room nicely unlike some of the other candles that I have tried in the past.
Glistening Snow ~ As the title gives it away, this is more of a christmas one. In comes in a blue festive, snowy, icy looking jar. The candle is a deep turquoise colour. The smell is a fresh festive scent, best way I can describe it is fresh cut tree needles and speuce, blended with berries, cinnamon and a hint of orange. This candle also filled the room with its scent which was plesents and very much the christmas candle spirit.
Spiced Apple ~ Comes in a reddy pink coloured jar with decorative swirls around it, the candle itself is a dark red colour. the scent is really quite delicious and smells very festive. It has a blend of winter spices with cinnamon and juicy apple. I found this to have a strong scent that lingered very well and lasted well even after the flame had been put out.
Out of all the candles that I have, Glade candles are in my top 5. I like that fact the secents do last and linger for a while even after the flame has been put out. Although the candles look smaller than some, don't be fulled, the have appoxamatly 30 hours of burning time. I would rate this product a five out of five. I hope that my review was on some use to you, thank you for taking the time to read it.\par
Summary: Would recommend 5/5
