There are a number of different varieties of Glade Shake and Vac, the one I'm reviewing is the Lily of the Vallies variety that is a wonderfully fresh, floral carpet cleaner that is very easy to use. The product is designed to keep carpets fresh and it does a great job of it, this is probably why it has been around for so long.

The packaging is nice and simple, it is a green plastic 500g container with a flip top lid that reveals the two holes from which the powder is released and when the top is lifted you can smell the richj floral fragrance from within. Using the product is very easy, it should be applied to a dry carpet and spread evenly by a simple shaking method so that a fine dusting of the powder covers the carpet. It should then be left for about 30 m inutes at least to allow the powder to settle in and then you simply vacuum the carpet as normal to remove all of the powder however afterwards you are left with a lovely fresh smelling carpet.

The Lily of the Valley fragrance is my favourite of the range, at least amongst the varieties that I have tried, it has a fresh summery smell to it and is not at all synthetic smelling. As you would expect it is a floral fragrance which has pretty good stayiong power although it does fade over time. I tend to use this product once a week on the downstairs carpets, maybe every other week upstairs where less odours permeate the carpets.

I purchased mine in Poundland so you can pretty much guess the price, after watching a recent programme on Poundland I now always check the quantities just to make sure I am getting a good bargain and that is the case with this one, you have to watch out as sometimes the sizes in Pondland are smaller than in other retailers and you are not really saving money.

This is a simple product to use and gives a nice fresh smell to rooms after cleaning and I would certainly recommend it.
