As a stay at home mum I can be a bit of a sucker for the shopping channels. It can be a bit of a downfall but I have also had some amazing items off them such as my Chef Tony Miracle Blades which I just love.

This is where I came across the H20 Mop just before last Christmas. As my little monkey was now starting to crawl about I was worried about her crawling on the hardwood floor and what germs she would pick up or even if the floor cleaner I was using would be harmful to her. Another worry was her squishing things into the carpet and as our house is rented with the carpet supplied I was worried that she might ruin them.

So there I was sitting watching Thane Direct when my monkey was having a nap when it starting showing the Mop. The H2O Mop is an electric steam mop which is used to thoroughly clean floor surfaces, such as lino, tiles, stone, marble, hardwood floor and even carpets.

The mop it self is quite slim for easy storage. The head comes with a micorfibre cloth, 10 disposable cloths and a carpet glider. The head itself is a triangle shape which makes it easier to glide into all corners and swivels in everyway to enure easier cleaning. There is also a carry handle, 2 bits to wind the cord around and an easy to hold handle to push it around. The water container is blue and easily slides off with an easy fill pull in pull out hole.

The H2O Mop deodorizes and increases cleaning power by converting water to steam. The microfibre cloth which can be washed is used to remove all dirt, stains and even spills (which is great in our house with a dog who loves mud and a Tip-It-Up cup which leaves puddles in all corners).

As the Mop only uses water there is no need for the floor cleaners or bleach which I would have normally used. And it doesn't leave a sticky floor which I have found some cleaners and a normal mop and bucket have done in the past.

It can also be used to kill dust mites and I use it on the matresses of our beds. I was shocked at the uses I have found for this mop. I use it on the kitchen floor, both bathroom floors, the outhouse floor where the dog sleeps, on his doggie bed, the worktops in the kitchen, the tiles in the bathroom and the carpets.

Now as any parent will know what a mess little monkeys can make. Well our house is no exception. After Scarlet Monkey squished Blueberries into the lounge green carpet I was furious and thought I would never get the stain out. But then I tried the H20 Mop and couldn't believe that the stains just lifted out. I was really surprised and so happy. I am completely reassured that another squished fruit will easily come out. All you need to do is pop on the carpet glider and off you go.

To use the mop all you have to do is plug it on, press the switch and the steam starts automatically. I am still shocked at how something so powerful and useful is so easy to use. If I can use it so can the whole world.

I paid £79.95 for this off thanedirect.co.uk and it is worth every penny. I will never go back to the old method of washing the floor and the price is justified by how much I use this.
