“ Brand: Live Laugh Love / Type: Photo Holder „
When I was buying things for my house, photo frames were one of the things I loved to look at, as there are so many colours and designs available. I do like a rustic, shabby chic look in my living room, and my googling led me to a website named Live Laugh Love, which sells items for the home which they describe as 'vintage style and country decorative'. I saw this cute card holder, and thought it would be something different to have.
The holder is 15cm in height. It's made from a thick metal wire. The main stem of the holder is twisted, forming a heart at the top which you can stick your photograph or card into. It stands on a circular base which has a diameter of 7cm.
It is very sturdy and would be difficult to bend.
My mum and dad have tons of photos from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s - a lot of which my sister and I pinched between us. Because they are 'vintage', they can be different shapes and sizes and therefore don't fit modern day photo frames. Also, naturally I didn't want to trim any of them down to fit. Therefore using a photo holder is perfect because you can keep the photograph intact - any size or shape of photograph can be held in this.
I did have some problems when I first put a photograph into it as it fell straight out again. The hearts on each side don't clamp together as tightly as I would like, so you may need to jiggle them about a bit to get them to really grip the photo. Once you do, however, the photo will sit in the holder very well.
I would say because of the issue above this holder might be better for holding postcards as they would be thicker than photos.
I think this item would also be nice to use for holding place cards if you were having a dinner party or even a wedding.
This costs £2.95 which I really think is a bargain.
Now, since making the product suggestion to dooyoo for this item, I now see that it does not appear to be on the Live Laugh Love website at the moment. However you can buy this in cream - aside from the colour it is identical. I can only assume that the website is perhaps re-stocking, but you can of course contact them at http://www.livelaughlove.co.uk/help.php?section=contactus&mode=update.
WOULD I BUY THIS AGAIN?
I would buy this item again as I think it'd look cute to have one either end of the mantelpiece. These also look nice on a dressing table in a bedroom as well as in the living room. At £2.95 I see no reason *not* to buy another one!
