      Lovely, cheap, easy to hang

I got these just over a year ago from Matalan in store. I like lilac and purple colours so I was attracted to them instantly. I also like canvas pictures especially the ones where you have three in a row that match each other, even though these aren't the matching scene type ones I still liked them. I thought about where I could put them in the house and settled on the fact they would go nicely in my daughter room which has a pale pink colour in it. They may not be babyish or child pictures but they would be nice in there.

They cost approximately £5 for the set, I can't find them on their website to check but don't think it would have been much more then that that I paid.
Each picture has a dimension of about 20cm by 20cm and depth of 2cm. Each individual picture is a canvas picture fixed onto a square wooden frame. Very basic and very lightweight.

The colours on them are lovely and vibrant and add a subtle touch to a room. Even though each picture is of a different flower type they still all match well together.

They are hung in my daughters room now and sometimes I look at them and smile just because I like them and they bring a smile to my face. We put three screws in the wall and hung each picture on the wall with the three of them in a row together.

Because they are only canvas I don't spray them with polish but use a dry duster and occasionally I wipe across the tops of them with a damp cloth to collect any gathered dust. Being canvas it would be easy for them to be ripped but so far these have survived a fall from their place on the wall due to some door slamming as on it's an interior wall which isn't too solid, but they survived the fall thankfully.

These can be put in any room really whether you'd think they look nice in a living room, toilet, or hallway etc. They would fit in well anywhere.

On the whole I'd recommend these and they aren't expensive to add a bit of the outdoors to your indoors.

        Every house should have some

Due to total obsession with all things purple, my husband to be bought me for our first anniversary a set of three canvas pictures from Matalan. I had seen them on a trip round the shop and had gently dropped a few hints that I was thinking of buying them, and where did he think they would look best, should I decide to actually buy them, because I hadn't totally made my mind up of course!!

Needless to say after whoops of surprise and internal whoops of glee that my hints had been taken up on, I set about looking at my works of art. There are three canvases, all 20cms x 20cms x 1.8cms which are a nice size and look great hanging in a line. The first canvas is a close up of a daisy type plant, you have violet petals and a striking blue centre section, the second is a violet hydrangea and the third is a pansy that is white and deep purple.

These are basically a canvas that has been stretched over a wooden frame, they are a nice size as they are not too big but they are not postage stamps either. They come with a hanging hook which is easy to use just hammer a nail into your wall and hang them up. These only cost £5 which I think is a great price, you can get these in different colours and they are up to date and stylish, they would brighten any room up, from your lounge to a hallway to bedroom which is where I have mine. Although I love purple, I didn't want the whole room to be one colour as it might have looked too much (Ok, my other half wouldn't let me have the whole room one colour :( ) so we have painted the room white and have used purple accessories. Having these purple canvases on the wall, adds a stylish splash of colour without over being overpowering. (Yes I am still trying to convince myself of that!) A young girl's bedroom would also benefit from these hangings as well.

Great look, great close up pictures, great price, they are great!

I don't currently have these hanging up at the moment, as these were bought a few years ago now.

A nice set of canvases to brighten up a room

I love changing the look of my home with accessories and recently gave my stairs a bit of a re-vamp. We live in an open plan house and the stairs come down into the lounge so I like them both to match colour wise. I have an obsession with everything being colour co-ordinated so anything I hang on my stairs has to match perfectly with the lounge.

Whilst browsing around a Matalan store recently I spotted these 3 small canvases in the exact shade that would go with other accessories in my lounge so would be perfect to hang on my stairs.

The canvases are sold in a pack of 3 you cant buy them individually, they come secured in cardboard and covered with cellophane. They cost just £5.00 which in my opinion is a good price.

The canvases measure 20 x 20cm's and are 2cm's deep. The canvas is stretched over a simple wooden frame and they come with a hook making hanging them easy, all you need is a small nail.

The canvases all show flowers in various shades of purples and lilacs, one shows a close up of a large single daisy like flower, another shows a close of a hydrangea head and the third, and my particular favourite, shows a single pansy head.

The canvases can be grouped together or hung up singularly, I personally have mine singularly going down the stairs however my Mum has these in a pink colour and she has hers grouped together and they look equally as nice.

Once on the wall the canvases look really pretty and despite the old fashioned flowers printed on them they have given the stairs quite a modern look. The 3 flower canvases would look pretty in any room and brighten up a plain wall for a small amount of money. They have what I would describe as a satin finish, not matt but definitely not shiny, just more of a sheen.
They don't really need any cleaning I just wipe over them with a fluffy duster once a week and this keeps them looking nice.

If you are looking for something pretty to brighten a room or even a present for someone then I would certainly recommend taking a look at these canvases from Matalan, they are nicely made and finished and a good price too.
