A lovely gift for someone maybe?

With my love for cushions and my love of Past Times when I was recently in the store I couldn't resist adding to my collection from their large range of cushion offerings that they had on display. My living room is scattered with cushions and I actually thought of my Dad who passed away 11 years ago who loved his garden when I spotted it and because it evoked that thought I bought it in his memory type of thing. Exclusive to Pastimes this 30 x 45 cushion that is made from a Polyester Cotton Mix (well the cover is anyway) is on the small side and sort of oblong in shape. The design is by a lady called Beryl Peters and it is Victorian style of flowers. So what you get is a cushion pad in white that is thick and soft with the beige in the main, feeling embroidered cover (plain on the back) that has a concealed zip to the top of it so that the cover is easily removed though this is only suitable for dry cleaning. So the cover, well its a beige colour as I have stated already with a slightly rough texture to it which gives off an embroidered feel. Perfectly centred and in a dark red colour the verse 'What makes a garden and why do gardens grow? Love lives in gardens God and lovers know!' is printed on in large letters really beautifully. Around the edge of the cover there is a fancy border, again embroidered in and perfectly stitched with brightly coloured flowers of yellows, purples, reds and green leaves. Its a beautiful well presented design with the colours being vivid and believe me I'm no gardener but I do like flowers and to me I think the flowers are Pansys in the main (which again my Father adored and grew millions of himself over the years!). Although this has a downside of not being huge in size, being a little rough textured and the cover being dry clean only this is simply beautiful and graceful. I house mine in my living room as I stated earlier though this would look gorgeous in a conservatory and places and is unusual looking. I love my bright, colourful cushion and it makes me feel happy whenever I see it. Its beautiful quality and for £12.50 a cushion and cover I think is geat value for great quality! Only available and exclusive to Past Times (www.pasttimes.com).
