“ Brand: Past Times / Misc House Type: Cushion „
I take great pride in my home and I spend a lot of money making it attractive and filled with nice things. I like Past Times, they make really beautiful things that are slightly different and unusual. I have shopped in the store in York, you usually find the stores in quaint little cities and towns. However, there is an outlet at junction 32 where things are sold a little cheaper. Which coincidently is where I bought this cushion from. ==Price and availability== The cost is the cushion is £15 and available from Past Times stores or online. I paid £7.50 for it from the outlet shop. ==Description== The cushion is square and made of a mixture of polyester and cotton. The front is stunning with the words Home Sweet Home emblazoned in the front. What i like about the cushion is that it feels homely and reminds me of a bedspread my mother had that said a similar thing. The cushion is edged in an array of beautiful flowers that set the cushion off lovely. It has lilac, orange and red blooms that look ornate and attractive. The cushion feels quite rough to the touch, it is not a cushion to lay on but more of a decorative one. This is backed up because the cushion cover is dry clean over and there is a zip to slide it on and remove it. ==My observations== This is a lovely scatter cushion and designed to make your home look homely and interesting. It is not a comfortable cushion, the design is a bit rough but I love the look of it. It looks expensive and going on the price of fancy cushions these days, this is fairly good value for money. I would most certainly recommend it if you are looking for nice cushions that are a little bit different to the norm. ==Overall== This is a very beautiful cushion which can be displayed in any room of the house. The cover can easily be removed which is good and the only downside is that they recommend it has to be dry cleaned. When it comes to washing I think I may try hand wash it because dry cleaning is a pain and it is probably the only downfall of the cushion. Apart from this, I recommend it and I still find it a very appealing design. I like things that look oldie-worldy and this certainly makes the home look quaint and loved.
I adore scatter cushions and the likes in my living room and especially like the ones in the Past Times shop I visit rather too often. I spotted this cushion costing £15.00 (since I have purchased it it is now reduced to £7.50 a cushion would you believe lol!) and I simply loved the colourful embroidery on it and my home is certainly my 'Home Sweet Home'. Being made on the front of 55% cotton and 45% polyester, the back is 100% cotton with an integrated neat zip to the top of it and the cover is dry clean only. Sqaure in shape (no measurements are given for this but really its a standard sized cushion and the cushion itself is fat and white) the back and middle front section of the cushion are a light beige colour with 'Home Sweet Home' written on there in dark green capital letters and what to me looks like pansies round the edges of the front of the cushion cover in red, lavender, yellow and green leaves. The colours are rich in pigmentation the whole thing looks hand made but still well finished off and this is simply a bright cushion that would suit many different colourschemed rooms! A pain not being washable but it is lovely quality and rather unusual....just don't get it dirty! Only available from Past Times Stores and currently not on the Past Times website (www.pasttimes.com).
