Advantages: Very pretty
Disadvantages: None for me I love it
I recently was looking for a few photo frames for some of our holiday photos, we purchased some to go with our lounge but whilst browsing in a local shop Past Times which was having a closing down sale I came across the Pink Heart Photo Frame, it was a perfect match for our bedroom and I thought it would like quite nice sat on our bedside table. Being attracted to anything which is in pink I had to have it, also as it was a closing down sale I got the photo frame for half price so it was a bit of a bargain.
The actual photo frame is in the shape of a heart, the outer part of the frame is made from a pale pink enamel which looks as though it has a sort of marble finish to it, this is edged with a thin silver border both around the outside of the frame and around the actual photo area as well. The area which the photo sits in is also heart shaped to mirror the shape of the frame itself, going around this part of the frame is a silver chain effect border made up of small silver ovals with eight silver flowers spaced out around it, inside some of the oval shapes and the flowers are small crystals which really sparkle when the light catches them. The design is quite simple and the frame is not over fussy but it really does look pretty sitting in our bedroom.
The back of the frame can be removed in order to insert the picture, this is the same as most frames in that a section of the back removed to reveal the glass front of the photo area, you simply place the picture inside the frame and replace the back section clipping it in place, with some larger photos you may need to trim the edges in order to get the photo to fit in the frame as it is not a regular shape and not a huge frame, although the actual display area is quite large in comparison to some other frames we have where the frame is larger than the display area. The back of the frame has a strut used to stand the frame up, when you purchase the frame this is pressed flat again the back of the photo frame but just needs to be pulled outwards in order to stand the frame up. The strut is positioned in just the right place to ensure that the frame is well balanced and cannot fall over, it is nice and sturdy which also helps with the stability of the frame.
The whole frame measures 8.2cm (H) x 7.9cm (W) approximately with a display area of 2.5 x 2.5 again these are approximate measurements, the photo frame is not massive so obviously there are going to be some photos you cannot display in this frame, however for us it is the perfect size for our bedroom allowing us to display one of our holiday photos, it is not too bulky but on the other hand not so small that no photos will ever fit in it.
As I have said I purchased the Pink Heart Photo frame from a shop called Past Times (they also have a website) the shop was having a closing down sale, although this closing down sale has been going on for several months so I actually wonder whether they are closing down or not, anyway because of this sale all items were half price, the frame was originally priced at £10.00 however I only paid £5.00 for it which I think was quite a bargain. Personally I think £10.00 is a little expensive for this item, however I think I would still be tempted to buy it due to how well it goes with our colour scheme, but I was more than happy to pay £5.00 for it. The frame is very well made, none of the crystals have fallen off of the frame when I have been dusting and the strut has remained strong meaning the frame does not keep falling over, generally the frame is of very good quality and very well made, definitely worth the money. I have since had a look online and it seems that the frame is also being sold at £5.00 on there now reduced from £10.00.
I would definitely recommend the Pink Heart Photo Frame, it is very girly and would be suitable for both adults and young girls who like anything pink. This frame is ideal for any smaller photos you might have and would also make a lovely present for somebody. We have our frame in the bedroom as it goes with the colour scheme but it would be suitable to have in any room. Overall I feel this item was well worth the money and is a product I would recommend.
Summary: Another nice item from Past Times
