Last year my husband and I finally sealed the deal and got married! It happened fairly quickly with just a few months of planning and so I didn't really have a chance to think about all the wedding photos and how we would display them. We received several beautiful photo frames when we got married that we've proudly displayed around our home but I wanted something special for a bookcase in our living room. I started looking around but just couldn't find the perfect frame and then around this time last year I came across this photo frame in Past Times. I absolutely adore past times as their shops are just jam packed full of beautiful little trinkets. I actually went in to Past Times for a large novelty Christmas decoration that I had seen reduced to half price and I spotted this while browsing the items. I believe I paid £5.00 for this frame but it was on special as the store was only open for the Christmas period and had lots of special offers on.

This photo frame is in the shape of a heart and is ideal for a heart shaped photograph. We actually had a novelty photograph printed when we got our wedding photos which shows my husband and I in the shape of a heart cloud. Now we've not shown this off to anyone as it was really intended as part of a long running family joke related to wedding photos but actually I thought it looked sweet and this has been the ideal frame for it. The pale pink of the frame is an enamel which looks beautiful and I love the marbled effect throughout it. The effect is even all over yet unique to look at and it really is very pretty and feminine. This adds a lovely touch to our bookcase which is mainly full of my husbands collectable books that are very masculine to look at and I really like the contrast between his tastes and mine. There is a little silver area around the outside of the photo frame section and this has pretty little flowers on it too. I love these crystal flowers as they are very sparkly and they catch the light too when the sun is shining in the morning or last thing at night across my living room. This is elegant and pretty without being too over the top or blinged up.

Using this photo frame is very simple and you can remove the back like you do with all photo frames. Then there is a piece of glass and you can just cut your photo and fit it in to place. I found it easy enough to get my photograph to fit this frame however I already had a photograph that really was the ideal shape for a photo frame like this. The back of this is secure and I've never had a problem with my photograph falling out of the frame or anything. The stand on the back of this frame is sturdy and it has never fallen over or closed up causing the frame to fall over. This is even though our cat sometimes goes over and starts to sniff it or touch it so it really is sturdy and well balanced.

I feel that this frame is worth 5 out of 5 stars. It looks lovely, it is sturdy and it has been standing in the same place for almost a year now and there has been no damage occur to this either. The crystal flowers still look fantastic now and I can just give this a wipe over when I am doing my polishing to keep it looking fantastic. I was pleased with the price that I paid which I think may have been half price however I'm not 100% sure now. I would definitely recommend this photo frame as it looks pretty and it is stylish too without being too feminine for my husband to put up with. It is very pink and shiny but it just compliments our wedding photo so nicely and despite being a different shade of pink to the walls in our living room (which are more red as it turns out) this still fits in nicely and looks fantastic.
