... material similar to reusable coffee filters. They open up and you place 7-8 grams of ground filter into them. Once filled clip the hinged lid back into place, and wipe off any excess coffee before placing the the pad into the double pod holder.
Press the 1 cup button on your Senseo and voila... you have a cup of coffee of your preference.

Almost two years ago I wrote a review on the Philips Senseo, at the time I was using it every day but the cost of the coffee pods and the lack of variety available to me locally meant that I stopped using it so often. Every now and then I would buy the pods from Lidl but there were only three different types and I would get bored of them. What I wanted was a proper coffee machine, so that I could use whichever ground coffee I fancied, but as I'm the only coffee drinker in the house and space is at a premium in the kitchen I couldn't see my other half agreeing to me buying one.
