      cheers me up at work

      Picture pockets are a quick and easy way of displaying your photographs. You can have them on the back of the door, fridge or on a cupboard. The kit that I have is left over from my stint at university where my parents bought me some in order to display friends and family photos whilst away from home. I have the set now at work on the side of a filing cabinet. As they are magnetic, they can stuck in many places. If you want them in a door then you can also secure them on here, however using the magnets is the easier option.

      ==Price and availability==

      I think my parents paid £7 for my set, however these days you can buy the picture pockets for £5.80 on Amazon.

      ==Description==

      The magnetic picture pockets measure 34 by 64cm and it holds 11 photographs that measure 6 x 4 inches. The eleven photos are displayed in two columns of four and then three across the bottom. The two columns are horizontal and the bottom row are vertical so you get a good mix. The Perspex pockets are clear and give your photos a nice sheen. They protect them from damage and create a lovely display for your to view your photos.

      ==My observations==

      Digital photo frames are the big thing these days but when I went to uni they had not been invented, or if they had they were too expensive! This offered a great way of displaying a large number of photos in one go. I enjoyed having the photos up and even now not I have them at work, I enjoy seeing the photos in their physical form.

      ==Overall==

      This is a really cool item to display your photos. The Perspex pouches are light which makes the display easy to hang or magnetise. You can also get the picture pockets kit in a larger size where you get 22 photographs displayed. I am happy with eleven and I find it the perfect size. If I was asked if I would recommend it, then I would say yes. I like being able to see printed photographs as well as view digital images as there is something much more special about a photo that is printed, it has more of a presence. I am pleased with how long the pockets have lasted, I have had this about six years now and it has lasted well. To clean the pockets, you just need to give them a wipe and maybe a little polish to keep them looking shiny and dust free.

        I like having real pictures again

        I think in the day of digital photography we all forget how lovely it is to actually have our pictures out where we can see them. We either carry them on our phones, store them on memory cards or discs or view one at a time on a digital photo frame I think that's a little bit sad and also what are we going to do if these electric devices let us down and all our memorys in photos are gone for good?

        Well I decided that I was going to make an effort and start having some real pictures again. So after spending more than enough time lets say bluetoothing my pictures to the magical asda machine I came out with lots and lots and lots of pictures. Great I thought feeling happy with myself but then it hit me what on earth was I know going to do with all of these pictures!? So I looked on Amazon when I was younger I used to just make great collage with all my pictures and put them in glass frames but I was not really feeling up to the cutting and sticking so needed another answer to my problem. That was when I discovered picture pockets for £10.

        Picture pockets are basically a huge plastic display case for all of your pictures you can fit up to 80 photographs in it all together you have to have 4 by 6 pictures to fit in the gaps bear that i mind I was lucky enough that my during my crazy and expensive Asda printing spree I had chosen this size print. You can display your pictures both horizontally and vertically and you get 40 pictures on one side and 40 on the other.

        Once filed with photos you can then hang the pockets of a hook I chose to hang mine on the back of my bedroom door I have to admit that in teh long run for my living room I am going to have to go down the frame route again as I just think it looks better than the plastic case hanging from my door but for now I can view my pictures in my bedroom and I am happy with that.

        The plastic sleeves are easy to push the photos in and also mean you can change them when you want and also flip it round to look at other photos for a change.

        4 stars I personally wouldn't hang it in my living room but its great for displaying pictures in my bedroom.

          A perfect gift idea and a well recommended buy!

          What a great buy! I saved a fortune on picture frames, but can still see all my photos at a glance. I could never be bothered to take out an album and flick through it, I love to have my photos on display, however I am short of wall space for hanging photos, while this clever gadget holds 80 photographs on just one block of wall, or on the back of a door, and hanging from a regular picture hook.
          While a little awkward to initially put together and insert all the pictures, it is well worth the effort as I can display 40 photographs of 10 x 15 cm, or 4" x 6", on each side of the mega picture pocket, and just spin it around to reveal another 40. I keep it hanging on the back of my bedroom door, but it can be easily unhooked to take it into another room to show around when visitors call.
          It will take photos horizontally or vertically (landscape or portrait style) and the whole thing measures just 55 x 139 centimetres, or 55 x 21.5 inches.
          I am so pleased with my purchase, I intend to buy some as Christmas presents for family as well: They cost just £8.00 at Amazon.

            -

            As any parent knows, when you first have a child the camera becomes your best friend and you are forever taking photographs of them. We have photo albums piled high in a cupboard with pictures of our daughter in with the occassional appearance by us, the animals or other family! The fascination with taking a hundreds of different pictures of my daughter has never faultered even now she is 4 and I always found it a shame that there was not enough wall space to have all the favourites out. A friend of mine recommended a picture pocket and I can honestly say it is one of the best things I have ever purchased.

            A Picture Pocket is a big piece of plastic and looks alot like the little film sleeves you put photos in a photo album the only difference is you can fit many more on this than you can on a photo album page! With the Picture Pocket you can add many photos which you probably wouldn't normally be able to have out and make a giant collage type of thing and hang it either on the wall or on a door. The Picture Pocket comes in different sizes so you can have more or less pictures.

            I purchased our Picture Pocket from Amazon and purchased the Mega sized one which holds 40 photos (or 80 if you double the photos up and have some on the other side). I was really pleased with the size of it when I got it out and was pleased to see that there were spaces for not just landscape photos but portrait ones too. The Mega size has the following dimensions: 55cm x 139cm

            The plastic it is made out of isn't overly thick but not overly thin either. It is just about right to protect the pictures and hold them in place but without obscurring the pictures themselves. I found putting the pictures in the pockets very quick and easy as they just slide in. I did come across a couple of pockets which seemed a little smaller but a little bit of patience was all it took to get them in place correctly. It is really easy to hang as it comes with a piece of cord which is like a triangle shape and you just hang it from a picture hook or nail wherever you want to hang it. I have ours on the cupboard door as you come in the house and it looks great. I get to have out pictures from my wedding, my daughter, days out all in one place without the worry of where I am going to have to cram yet another frame!

            The Picture Pocket really shows off my pictures and you can see them just as clearly as if you were holding them in your hands.

            The Picture Pocket also protects your photos by having them in the film sleeves rather than just being a new way to show your pictures.

            As well as being able to have out a variety of photos which would normally go in a photo album, I think the Picture Pocket would be great for someone who is going to go away to university or is spending some time away from home so that they can always see the people they love without having to buy frames and such.

            An excellent item, highly recommended.
