Picture Pocket: Have those hidden photo album photos on display!

As any parent knows, when you first have a child the camera becomes your best friend and you are forever taking photographs of them. We have photo albums piled high in a cupboard with pictures of our daughter in with the occassional appearance by us, the animals or other family! The fascination with taking a hundreds of different pictures of my daughter has never faultered even now she is 4 and I always found it a shame that there was not enough wall space to have all the favourites out. A friend of mine recommended a picture pocket and I can honestly say it is one of the best things I have ever purchased.
A Picture Pocket is a big piece of plastic and looks alot like the little film sleeves you put photos in a photo album the only difference is you can fit many more on this than you can on a photo album page! With the Picture Pocket you can add many photos which you probably wouldn't normally be able to have out and make a giant collage type of thing and hang it either on the wall or on a door. The Picture Pocket comes in different sizes so you can have more or less pictures.
I purchased our Picture Pocket from Amazon and purchased the Mega sized one which holds 40 photos (or 80 if you double the photos up and have some on the other side). I was really pleased with the size of it when I got it out and was pleased to see that there were spaces for not just landscape photos but portrait ones too. The Mega size has the following dimensions: 55cm x 139cm
The plastic it is made out of isn't overly thick but not overly thin either. It is just about right to protect the pictures and hold them in place but without obscurring the pictures themselves. I found putting the pictures in the pockets very quick and easy as they just slide in. I did come across a couple of pockets which seemed a little smaller but a little bit of patience was all it took to get them in place correctly. It is really easy to hang as it comes with a piece of cord which is like a triangle shape and you just hang it from a picture hook or nail wherever you want to hang it. I have ours on the cupboard door as you come in the house and it looks great. I get to have out pictures from my wedding, my daughter, days out all in one place without the worry of where I am going to have to cram yet another frame!
The Picture Pocket really shows off my pictures and you can see them just as clearly as if you were holding them in your hands.
The Picture Pocket also protects your photos by having them in the film sleeves rather than just being a new way to show your pictures.
As well as being able to have out a variety of photos which would normally go in a photo album, I think the Picture Pocket would be great for someone who is going to go away to university or is spending some time away from home so that they can always see the people they love without having to buy frames and such.
An excellent item, highly recommended.
