... stick and unstick the same note to different documents. When working in a busy environment it was sometimes difficult to remember everything I needed to do, so I started using post it's and have never looked back. I tend to use the smaller notes and write down things I have to do, peoples numbers or information people request from me, reminders, as well as my shopping! I can use whatever pen, pencil I wish on these. The sticky sticks to any surface and can be pulled off if attached to the wrong document. The downfall...more

Premium Review Post-It Notes: The most useful office tool: the Post-It (565 words)
by - written on 19/08/09 (Very useful, 15 readings)
Rating:

Post-It notes are a common office staple. Even with the advance of technologies since the Post-It was invented in 1977, they are still used commonly and most of the time, in my job as a secretary, they are the most favoured way of writing on a report everything I've done wrong, or every tiny spelling mistake I've made! Of course, they can be used in much more positive ways than that, and not just in the office. Post-Its can be used by anyone, even as a kitchen appliance so leave notes on the fridge for your husband/kids/mum without leaving sticky marks everywhere or without having to invest in a drawing/cork board. The Post-It note ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review So much fun to use! (330 words)

Post it notes are small square shaped papers that are sticky down one side. They come in a block form and are available in lots of different colours including pastels and neons. You can find them in any stationary shop for a relatively cheap price and they come in handy for all sorts of different situations. I find these notes so convenient and use them almost everyday. They are so simple to use in that you write on the top pice of paper, pull it off and stick it somewhere! You can of course pull it off before you write on it. The sticky part peels away very easily and it never rips the next bit of paper that is on the pad. The only ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Post-It Notes: Stick-Its or Stuff-Its (401 words)

My opinion about post-it notes jacknives between finding them very useful and being sick of the sight of them. What are Post Its? ----------------------- Post-Its are blocks of small cut sheets that have some (not massively) sticky gum on one side of the sheet. You use them by taking one sheet off at a time and using it to write on. Sizes and colours vary - some Post Its can be in neon colours and some Post Its can be very tiny indeed - so they can be used in very many ways. They are very throwaway - there is nothing to be done with them but bin them once used. You can recycle - but this seems odd when the post its are ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A genius little invention . (473 words)

Ah, the humble post it - what a clever little invention. We've all seen them, little yellow rectangles you can tear off a block with a sticky strip so you can attach them to walls, Tv screens, and anywhere else you may wish to prominently display a message . The low-tack, reusable adhesive on the back of post it notes was actually invented by accident by a fellow named Dr Spencer Silver, a scientist at 3M in 1968 . It was cool and all, but it was only glue, and not a very strong one at that, so while it was interesting, it had no use - until in 1974 ,a friend and work colleague of Dr Silvers, Art Fry hit upon using the glue to stick bookmarks into his hymn ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Post-It Notes: i've Post-ed It, Have You? (352 words)

Post-it notes are small rectangular or square tabs of paper, with a sticky hinge, on which you can write notes and stick them around the room. They are a typical office supplies, in which notes are used to pass on messages between colleagues, write down jobs to do, and generally reminders for the everyday task. Post-its come in a wide range of colours: pink, green, orange, yellow, purple, blue... the list goes on, and is made to suit anyone. Not only are the colours varied, there are a whole range of sizes aswell. They can be as small as a matchbox! Personally Post-it notes have been extremely useful for my studies... they are small, ...  Read the complete review
