Poundland Padded Envelopes
Advantages: Variety of sizes, cheap, strong.
=== The product ===
Padded envelopes, a cheaper version of a 'Jiffy bag'.
=== The packaging ===
These envelopes are usually shrink wrapped and there is a very thin piece of glossy paper within that has a barcode and tells you very briefly what these envelopes are.
=== Where can I buy these & for how much? ===
These can be purchased from Poundland stores and at present I am paying £1.00 for 3 padded envelopes.
=== Types Available ===
CD Bubble Envelopes 8 in a packet
Medium Padded Envelopes 6 in a packet
Large Padded Envelopes 3 in a packet
The smallest envelope is really just for sending very small flat items and is not actually large enough for even a CD in its box. I have used this to send some earrings that I sold on eBay in the past. The medium envelopes are more suitable for cds, dvds and other things like that and the large envelopes have been ideal for sending toiletries, small items of clothing and other things like that, scarfs, gloves etc.
=== Overall opinion ===
These envelopes are lined with a layer of bubble wrap which acts as protection for any items that I am sending in the post. There is a peel off and stick glued area on this which makes it easy to seal up the envelope and these appear to stick down and stay sealed with just a little pressure applied along the edge.
These envelopes are fantastic. I have purchased all three sizes available in my local store in the past and I have been using them for a variety of uses. Sometimes I will sell jewelry or clothing on eBay and these bags are ideal for sender smaller items. I have also sent items to my nieces and nephews in the post and they have always arrived safe.
The quality of these envelopes is high, they are basically the same as Jiffy bags just without the expensive price tag. Lowering my spend on postage and packaging materials allows me to give a better offer on the items that I am selling on eBay and this in turn generates more revenue for me, by way of more customers, and also allows other people to pick up items slightly cheaper from me than they were a few months ago.
The only downside to using these envelopes is that quite often when I visit my local Poundland they will only have one size available, usually the larger 3 in a packet ones, however, I am still only paying 33.33p per envelope and that's a very reasonable price for me to ensure that my items arrive safely and without damage.
Summary: Padded envelopes from Poundland.
