I sell items on Amazon, mostly books and DVDs as well as belonging to various book swapping websites so need to have good quality packaging materials to send out items. I often save my old packaging to send books for swapping but Amazon stipulate that sellers use new packaging, the Poundland padded envelopes are an absolute bargain and ideal for people who sell online to use.

These envelopes are available in packs of 8 small envelopes which are useless for most items due to the fact they won't even take a CD. The medium sized envelope takes most paperback books with room to spare (if the book is small enough you can seal the envelope in a smaller size to send it large letter size instead of parcel) and is available in packs of 6 and the large envelope is bigger than A4 and comes in packets of 3.

When I have bought padded envelopes directly from the Post Office then they can cost more than £1 each and are of no better quality than the Poundland ones. These envelopes have a thick outer made of brown paper and are layered with a bubble wrap insert. They feel nice and strong so I have no fear that they will break and spill their contents in transit. They are fastened by a sticky tab which is revealed by peeling away a paper layer to reveal the gum so no licking required. I have always felt that the seal feels really strong so feel no need to add an aditional layer of parcel tape. The brown paper outer is light enough that pen shows up nice and clearly when you write on it.

Unfortunately these envelopes are not recyclable due to the fact they are made of mixed materials.

These are a brilliant buy from Poundland, a real bargain and cheaper than you can buy anywhere else on the hight street and great quality for everyday use. My packages have always arrived with no problems so why pay more?
