Poundland Padded Envelopes

I do enjoy a good rummage around Poundland shelves every couple of weeks to check for any new bargains they have in. If you are not familiar with the shop they have a huge range of ever changing products from food to cleaning products to pet food priced at £1, however one week to the next you might not see something you've purchased previously. Luckily however, one staple item seems to be their padded envelope section.

6 Pack Padded Envelopes

This review is for the six pack of padded envelopes. The envelopes come packaged in a sealed polythene vacuum packed bag. This is clear so that you can see every detail of the envelopes inside. There is a simple insert with some simple product information on the front of the packet coloured black, red and white with the description 'medium bubble padded envelopes'.

The medium sized envelopes are just about the size of DVD box, or slightly bigger with the edging take into account. The envelope is the typical light brown or beige colour all over, with one open edge which is where you put your items in. There is a fold down flap which you use to seal the envelope with the gummed seal, which thankfully means no licking involved! This is pretty secure and sticky but I always add a bit of tape either side of my envelopes for extra security.

The envelopes material is a strong reinforced paper that can withstand scratches and bending without falling to bits, these envelopes are pretty tough and reliable. Inside the envelope is the padded bubble wrap lining. This is made up of a layer of the fun poppy bubbles or an 'air cushion' as Poundland call it. This does it's best to protect your goods during transit, putting a 1/2 cm barrier between them and the outside world.

I always forget that this extra inside padding vastly reduces the space inside of the envelopes so this is worth thinking about when buying these. As I have mentioned the medium sized envelopes will fit in a DVD or similar item for posting but these are no good for bulky items as the don't like being mishaped. I don't do a lot of selling of stuff but always keep a drawer full of these for sending presents and more fragile items.

Poundland also do an 8 pack of small envelopes and a 4 pack of large envelopes, all for the bargain price of £1. A six pack of these for a pound is a great price as you can pay close to that on a single envelope in the Post Office. Great price and quality from Poundland.
