Advantages: Good quality paper, Organised, Sturdy

Disadvantages: Expensive

Pukka pads are pads available in stationary stores, and these are available in a wide range of sizes. The one I purchased was an A4 writing pad. To my knowledge, it is available in black, blue or pink and I opted for the pink one which contained 250 pages and also contained dividers, however they are available as just a writing pad if not.

The image used in this review must be a little dated because Pukka Pads have been updated considerably and they have a wide selection to choose from, so there is something perfect for everyone dependent on what you are using yours for. As I am a study, I often have to take a number of notes in preparation for exams, and instead of writing facts on random sheets of paper, I would rather have a good, sturdy notepad which I know will last me throughout, and this is why I picked up one of these.

When you first pick up a pukka pad, you can see from the ring binder and the hard covers that they are sturdy and likely to last well. I used mine for around one academic year, and it was thrown into bags, it was lugged around on public transport and exposed to a lot of damage, however through all this it still stayed in pristine condition which shows these pukka pads are of an excellent quality.

The one which I own is all lined paper, and I am unsure if it is available in any other form, although this is quite likely. One thing to note is that the paper is of an extremely good quality, and it is quite a lot thicker than other sheets I have used before, and this means it is less likely to tear. This good quality paper means that you can use a number of pens on it without it seeping through on to the next page which can truly be a nightmare as a student when you are colour coding various things with highlighters, as it can all get a bit messy.

The ring binder is very sturdy in these, and it does mean that you can rip out pages easily without it leaving bits of the earlier pages present and creating that horrible leftover pile. Overall, this note pad is a very organised and clean one due to it's excellent quality.

In addition to this, the particular one I own comes with dividers, therefore you can separate it into your different modules or subjects, and this just makes it so much more convenient when revising as you can get straight to the bits you need quickly. I really like this pad as it helps you to stay organised, and despite what you are using this for, the organisational aspect of this is a big plus for me.

Despite this, there is one drawback for me and that is the price. As a student you can get through quite a lot of paper, and as this has 250 sheets, I will be needing many more for my next academic year. I purchased my Pukka Pad at WHSmiths for just under £5.00 which to me is quite a lot of money for something which you could get through quickly, especially when bargain shops will sell note pads for around 50p. I would be willing to buy this again for revision purposes, but only because it was very useful to me in my last exams, and I am hoping it will do the same for the next few years as a student!

Overall, excellent high quality note pad, however the price just knocks the one star off a little. Definitely one to look out for if it is on offer, but I would still have to recommend this to students as it really does help your revision. Thanks for reading.

Summary: Helped me get through my exams well!
