Advantages: cheap, thin, easily washed
Disadvantages: none
I don't really shop at sainsburys much, mainly because the other supermarkets are nearer to me.
But there is a big sainsburys located near a few other shops so when I am in that area I like to pop in every now and again.
I came across this doormat and thought it would be a good buy. I cannot remember how much I paid for it but I know it wasn't very costly at the time. Looking on the sainsburys website now I can see it is priced at £3.50, which I think is a pretty cheap doormat. It also gives the dimensions of the mat being 40 x 60cm which I think is pretty much the standard size.
The reason I bought this doormat was mainly due to the price and because my previous one had gotten worn out and I always forgot to look out for another one, so when I saw this it was literally the first one I saw and I thought it would do.
Due to the colour of it, it does not look as dirty as a plain white/cream one would have done which I thought was important as the amount of times shoes would be wiped on it.. it could easily start to look pretty grubby quite quickly.
I have the doormat placed infront of the door within the porch, as I found this the best place to keep it, as it allowed shoes to be wiped clean when entering. However it would be fine kept inside the home too in front of the front door as it is thin enough to not obstruct the door when opened. If you have pets such as a cat or dog it could also be useful to have one of these placed under the food/water bowl.
The doormat has grips on the bottom of the mat and so it does stay in place. It is easily washed and is machine washable. It says to wash it at 40degrees and lie flat to dry. I just placed it in the bathtub to allow it to dry and it seemed to do the trick.
Overall I give the mat 5 stars.. it is a thin mat compared to others but I see this as an advantage as it allowed the door to be opened over it and it did not affect the quality of the mat.
Thanks for reading :)
