My mum bought this tape dispenser for me when I went to uni so that it would cute in my new room. I've had it for a few years now and thought it was about time I wrote a review about it.

The premise of this cute little desk accessory is that it is a tape dispenser for Scotch magic tape by 3M (see my earlier review if you want to know more about this tape) but it looks like a little red shoe!

The shoe is red and it has a black heel and it's like a t-bar shoe with a slightly square toe. The shoe sits on a little red mount which you can see in the picture and this is just really a base for it to stand on. The tape is held on its roll which is sort of 'in' the shoe, and the end extends over the t-bar which I where the serrated edge is.

The shoe is super cute and it looks great on my desk as I'm sure it would lots of other people. I really recommend it as a little perk me up gift or a gift for someone with a new desk if they're starting up a business or home study or something.

It holds the tape well and lets it rotate etc and I've never had a problem with the serrated blade not being sharp enough. Changing the roll is easy-peasy too as you can just slot it in and out and fit the new roll on.

One bad thing is that it has been designed exclusively for the Scotch tape so a bigger roll of another tape just won't fit in. I guess this is a shame but Scotch magic tape is pretty useful and I think it looks nicer on things when I use it so at Christmas I felt super special wrapping all my gifts really nicely and using my cute shoe dispenser!

The shoe is currently reduced from about £6 to £5 on the scotch 3M website. Considering this includes a roll of tape I don't think it is a bad price. Using the dispenser also seems to make me use less tape than I would if I was just tearing/cutting it on my own.
