      Very helpful

Not as much a bargain as I thought!

Last Halloween review, promise! Actually it definitely is as I'm chomping at the bit to get going on some festive reviews and Halloween seems such a distant memory now!

I bought these lovely napkins for my granddaughters' Halloween party as they were on special offer in the newsagents by me priced at just 50p for 20 napkins. I had loads of spooky napkins anyway but considering they were so cheap I bought two packs of these.

An eye for a bargain certainly landed me in some trouble with these napkins as although they look absolutely wonderful with the colourful cartoon spiders dangling on their webs, these napkins turned out to be an absolute nightmare!

My baby granddaughter, then 16 months, made a bit of a mess of herself with some ice cream so I grabbed a couple of these napkins to wipe her face. You have probably guessed by now, after wiping the sticky ice cream from her face I noticed that she looked dirtier than before and after closer inspection I saw that her skin had been blackened slightly by the dye used on the napkin. There were also some small fibres stuck around her nose which worried me slightly as I didn't want her inhaling any of them.

After taking her into the bathroom I was pleased to find that the dye washed off easily with soap and warm water, but that isn't the point really is it? I also used a napkin to wipe a little spilled juice from my kitchen worktop and again I was left with an unpleasant grey smear which I actually needed to use spray bleach on to completely remove it!

So to sum up, if you can find these napkins cheaply enough they are lovely to look at so it might be worth buying a pack for decoration. For anything else I wouldn't recommend them as, being 3-ply, the Spider Frenzy napkins are substantial enough to cope wil spills BUT who wants black marks where previously just a little dirt had been?
