Advantages: great thick chunky pens
Disadvantages: really not any here
Our office at home is never complete unless there are a selection of highlighter pens to hand. We have numerous makes lying around the office including the Boss highlighters. Are they the boss of all highlighters though, or just a bog standard pen? Well first off, they represent good value for money. You can pick up a multipack of pens from supermarkets for around the five pound mark and within this set, you should get an assortment of colours. If you like, you can but single coloured pens, but it's more convenient if you colour code them.
The pens have a good longevity, ours have seen us through months now and show no signs of running dry. Fitted with a secure lid on each pen, you pop it off and the ink is ready to flow. The sturdy nature of the pens makes them great for highlighting large blocks of text for long periods. One of the best features of these pens is the chunky feel they have. The oblong shape means comfort is ensured as you work and you can grip them well in a fist or between the fingers.
The flow of ink is precise and you can twist the pen on the side to deliver a finer line if desired, or turn it face down to create a thick line. The colours come out bright and vibrant and hold up well even well left in sunlight. There is not much I would change about the Boss pens, they have helped me through school, college and work and are handy for home card making, revision notes and general office duties. When ours run out I shall no doubt restock with another pack of these mighty pens.
Summary: a mighty pen
