“ Brand: Staedtler / Misc House Type: Pen „
Despite my office supposidly being almost paperless, I do find a pen in my hand for a large portion of my day, so finding one that writes well but is comfortable for long periods of use had been a challenge over the years.
Gell pens have been tried and binned (smudged too much), cheap ball points have been tried and binned (cheap=uncomfortable), decent ball points were considered but decided too expensive as I write too much to justify the refil costs.
Then one day, the stationery company threw a few freebies in with a delivery : the Staedtler Triplus pens had arrived on my desk and have not left since.
The barrel is a triangular shape, which may sound too angular to sit comfortably on the finger, but strangely, it works. The barrel is coloured to match the ink thats inside, so that's handy for picking the right colour pen.
It has a small lid (so not suitable for children) which have been lost a time or two!
The barrel is smooth in texture, so doesn't cause ridges where you grip, and is also kind of soft... thats not to say it's pliable, or strokeable.... its hard to explain. It's not a hard plastic like the Bic pens. It feels softer. Does that make any sense?
As it is a ballpoint, the writing is smooth and constant. It's not a posh write, but is perfectly adequate for office work or even homework. I can use these pens all day and not have that pen imprint on the side of my middle finger
The range also cover felt-tips and refillable pencils. I think they do also do lidless pens (click top ones)
Premium ballpoint pen.
