A Wickedly Unusual Xmas Tree Decoration That Has A Serious Message

I know grenades make a weird decoration for the Xmas tree, and no it wasn't a gothy make-a-statement decision to buy them but because a friend of the family lost her brother in Afghanistan this year. These decorations are made by Ctrl.Alt.Shift and are a statement to say that global conflict should end NOW, the world is so developed now that wars should be a thing of the past.

By hanging these grenade decorations on my tree this is MY statement to show any visitors we have over Xmas that I believe all wars should be ended. They also remind me every time I look at them that there are very young guys dying weekly in Afghanistan and even though none of them are personally known to me I am grateful for what they are doing for MY future and that one everyone I love.

They are a bit expensive but worth it I reckon, this pack of 6 grenade decorations was £20.00 and apart from the serious message of them I think they look wicked on my Xmas tree! They are made of a shiny plastic and even though they are hollow they are quite heavy, they didn't look right on the small fibre optic tree we've got because they bent the branches down and were a bit too long but when I moved them to our big tree they looked great.

They look quite lifelife, I've never seen a grenade obviously but they look exactly how I'd imagine a real one to look. Even the hanging loop is a keyring so that it looks like the pin on a grenade! I wouldn't want more than 6 on my tree because they have become the most obvious decoration on there and if there was any more I don't think it would look right.

I really like these decorations and am glad I brought a pack even though they are more expensive than I'd normally pay for decorations. As well as the serious message I think they look wicked and will deffo be used in the years to come, although hopefully Ctrl.Alt.Shift will have made some headway into ending war by then.
