Willow Tree Collection
Advantages: Lovely gift, personal and good value
I first became inerested in this collection when i wanted to buy a wedding gift that was a little less traditional than the common photo frames, and i came across this lovely selection of 'Willow Tree'.
Willow tree as a brand was delevoped in 2000 by Susan Lordi and make a lovely addition to your home. I have found that they make both a lovely, meaningful gift, but also a little treat for yourself too.
There is something for everyone in this collection, and myself have around 10 Angels, 8 figuirines and 4 trinket boxes.
As stated above, it is not only the figuines that can be bought. Susan also developed an angel range, with the figuirines having bespoke wire wings to their backs. These, like the original figuines come in different sizes from small (about 10cm), to larger ones (aroung 20cm). Every angel in range has a different meaning and sentiment, which is why they are perfect to give as a meaningful gift.
Although mass produced, the design of the figuines and angels lend themselves to look as though they are hand made. In neutral colours of beiges and browns, they do not look out of place in any room and all figurines, angels and trinket boxes come with folded cards explaining the meaning of the ornament. For example: I have the pregnant lady figuirne (bought for me by my husband when i was expecting)called cherish, and card it comes with says "expecting a miracle". This is such a lovely sentiment and a heartfelt gift.
Prices range from £9.99 for a small single figuire, to around £30 for those ornaments with 2 or 3 people in them, such as generations. They can be found online, in larger department stores and most high street jewellrey shops.
Moving on the the trinket boxes, these are both rectangular and circular in shape and have a carved picture on the lid. Some have embelishments such as gold hearts and remain in the signiture neutral colours.
The trinket boxes are special in that they have an inscription on the inside base of the box, such as 'you will always have my heart', with the heart of gold box. I dont keep anything in my boxes, they are display only, but are of a size (approx 7cm diameter) that you could store small items in.
All of the collection of Willow tree and boxed in a brown packaging with the ornate handwriting known to Willowtree and all have polystyrene encasing to protect your precious purchase.
As you can see, i could rave about Willow tree all day, i think they are a fab collection, and there are even items that would suit the males of the world, such as the Dad figurine or Generations.
I have to mention also, that just recently, Susan Lordi has also released a Willow tree collection of greetings cards that have the different figuirnes on them, and are blank inside, so can be used for any message you wish, great idea!
I would defeinately recommend the Willow tree brand as a treat for yourself, or a gift for someone else. You will never be stuck for ideas for pressies again!!
Summary: Great gift, personal and Good value!
