Willow Tree Collection
Advantages: Well made, sturdy, looks amazing
Disadvantages: Expensive, but I do think that each figure is worth the money
I love buying new things for around my home to make it all the more cosy and family orientated, & when I came across the Willow Tree figurines on Amazon I knew straight away that I wanted one!
In the end after a lot of browsing, I decided to buy two - one for me & my fiancé, and one for my mum. The one that I chose for me and my fiancé is the 'Our Gift' figurine. We have a beautiful little boy together and this just really stood out to me and made me feel really proud of my little family.
It is a mother a father cradling and looking down at their small baby. It sounds bizarre because the figures are completely faceless, but you can just kind of sense the love and proudness and it makes me feel really happy and content when I look at it. The one that I bought for my Mum for Mother's Day was of course the mother and daughter figurine which is the only one that I thought was suitable.
I'm 19 and the figurine shows the mother with a little girl but I knew she'd like it still and I thought it might bring back some memories of when I was younger & all the amazing times we had! I was pondering on the idea of buying her the Promise figurine which shows a man and woman very much in love so that she could share it with my dad but seeing as it was Mother's Day I thought the mother & daughter one would be best.
I have had my Our Gift figurine for almost two weeks and it has really fitted in well with my living room, it looks gorgeous on our mantle piece and is very eye catching but it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. The colouring is subtle and gentle so it will fit in with any living room design I think. The figurine cost me £29 (full retail price is £36) and you can tell that it is expensive, it looks like its been hand carved and is really special looking. If I could afford it I would buy more but the price and the lovely, unique design make it feel really special.
Cleaning the figurine is really easy and a damp cloth does the job but it really doesn't attract dust and because it sits on our mantle piece it is out of the way and so it doesn't really get dirty. It is very well made and durable and it stands on the mantle piece sturdily, it doesn't wobble or fall over or anything as it has a bit of weight to it.
All in all, the willow tree figurines are amazing. The detailing is really nice and the overall look is just beautiful! The quality is amazing and I will be treasuring this figurine for a long time. My mum loves hers too and nearly cried when I gave it to her!
