Tesco Happy Birthday Balloons
Advantages: Bright colours and cheap price
Disadvantages: Not the best quality, didnt last long enough
Recently my youngest daughter turned four and I decided to put together a mini party for her so I headed off to Tesco to buy some party decorations. Of course balloons were a must and Tesco had quite a nice selection of different designs at varying costs. It didn't take me long to chose some Tesco own brand balloons which were part of their "Party" range. My main reason for choosing these was because they had a "Happy 4th birthday" design on each balloon which I thought my daughter would like but I also thought they were well priced at £1.00 for a pack of ten.
The balloons are packaged rather simply in a clear plastic bag, the balloons are clearly visable so you know exactly what you are getting before you make your purchase. Stapled to the top of the bag is a rainbow striped cardboard slip which gives the brand and product name.
In total there were ten balloons, two of each in the following colours blue, green, orange yellow and red. The selection of colours were really nice, they were really bright and vibrant.
It took my partner and I less than ten minutes to blow up two packs of these balloons, it was also really simple to tie the knots at the ends. I must admit that I was slightly disappointed with how small the balloons were but figured it wasn't something my daughter would particularly notice. The design on the front was nice enough, the writing was clear and easy to read. We decided to leave most of the balloons scattered about the living room for the children to play with and stuck the remaining ones up around the Happy Birthday banners displayed on the walls and the party table too.
My daughter was over the moon to discover her mini party and the balloons were a big hit and she thoroughly enjoyed playing with them. Whilst I was expecting a few of the balloons to pop I was a little disappointed that only four managed to survive the day. The balloons I displayed lasted a little longer, but by the next morning they had shrivelled and shrunk considerably.
On the whole I was a little disappointed with these Tesco Birthday Balloons as I was expecting them to last at least a few days. I feel that the quality was not great and that the rubber was on the thin side. That being said they did look nice whilst they lasted and my daughters did enjoy playing with them. For only £1 I can't complain too much but I wouldn't really recommend them.
Summary: Not one I can recommend
