“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Container „
Plastic storage containers for the kitchen are something I never seem to have enough of and seem to be buying them quite regularly. I use them all the while for freezing things, the microwave and storing food in the fridge. I was recently shopping in my local Tesco and spotted their Go Cook Klip Fresh plastic containers, they were in a pack of 3 and on offer for £4.00 instead of £6.00 so I bought some. The Go Cook Klip Fresh containers or food savers as they are really called were sold wrapped in a clear plastic wrapper with a paper label inside around the containers. The label shows the Go Cook logo and gives the different sizes of the 3 containers. The label also informs the customer that these are dishwasher proof, freezer proof and microwave safe. The Klip Fresh containers are made from a white plastic which although isn't clear does allow you to see through it to a certain degree, handy if you rummaging around in the freezer looking for something. They have lids which all have a little rubber seal around them, this ensures a nice secure fit, also on each side of the lid there is a little plastic wing which flaps down over the edge of the container and clicks down, this gives the containers a really tight seal and prevents any leaks. The 3 klip fresh containers I bought measure 14 x 21 cm's and 8cm's deep, 12 x 17 cm's and 6.5 cm's deep and the smallest is 9 x 14 cm's and 5 cm's deep. I have had my klip fresh containers for a couple of months now and find them very useful, they are always in use with something or other in them. We have used them for a picnic and found they kept the food fresh and nothing leaked. If we have a pasta dish for dinner I always make extra so Mark my husband can have it for lunch the next day, these containers are perfect for this, in the fridge they keep the pasta fresh and stop it from drying up and when he wants to eat he can just take the lid of and pop it into the microwave. I also like the fact that if I have curry or something spicy in one of the containers in the fridge the sealed lid keeps the smell in and stops the whole fridge taking on a curry scent. I hate throwing anything away and if I cook too many vegetables we simply keep them in these containers in the fridge or freezer for another time. The larger container in the set would be a good size for a lunch box and with the seal around the top and the lid clicking into place means there would be no leaking in your bag or desk drawer. I haven't had any problems with these discolouring, sometimes pasta sauce can stain plastic containers but these remain stain free and as new. They have been in the dishwasher, freezer and microwave many times and are still in excellent condition. If you are short of cupboard space then these will stack inside each other. If you use containers like these for any reason then I would recommend taking a look at Go Cook Klip Fresh Food Savers. They are well worth the money.
