Advantages: Easy to use, always work, lots of paper inside, cheap, fun.
Recently we had a gathering at work for someone who was celebrating their anniversary of joining our company. We probably have a few different gatherings throughout the year and generally they all run along the same tracks with different people bringing different foodstuffs in and then the company will provide us with some money to get cutlery, plates, cups and all the necessities for a party. Some items we can keep and re-use such as birthday or celebration banners and some items we buy and they last us absolutely ages. These party poppers are one such item!
These party poppers have been rattling around in our office for ages and we probably just use a few of these every time we have a party, particularly if the gathering is a 'surprise' that the person it is held for inevitably knows about! If I remember correctly we paid somewhere in the region of £3.00 for 50 party poppers earlier this year and this was good value at the time. I cannot currently find these on the Tesco website but I have seen them in store recently in both a 20 and a 50 pack when picking up some paper plates and cups for work.
The packaging for these party poppers is very basic being a plastic bag with a label stuck on it. There are the usual safety warnings and of course care should be taken when using these party poppers just because of the nature of product that they are. Of course to use one of these party poppers is very simple, just pick one out of the bag, gently position it in your hand so it is pointing up in to the air and then you will find a looped piece of string, just pull this towards you quite firmly and the popper will explode and the cardboard end is removed and then lots of silly string is removed and will fly all over the place. There is a bang of course and if there are small children around the chances are that they will start crying straight away - as I learnt recently when someone had their son it at work and we used these!
I like that these party poppers are all the same except for different coloured labels. This is quite simple but it means that they look good when scattered on the table ready for everyone to start using and if you've got a favourite colour you can go ahead and choose it! The paper within the poppers is all multi-coloured and it really does fly everywhere when you pull the string. We are yet to find a party popper that hasn't popped and released its paper silly string style stuff everywhere. This seems to fly everywhere and the only thing that we've found that is good for clearing it up is a vacuum with no attachment on the end.
These party poppers are really fun and they are quite cheap too. We haven't had any problems with these whatsoever and they always help start a party with a bang! I would firmly recommend these and I am rating them 5 out of 5 stars.
Summary: A fantastic packet of party poppers from Tesco.
