Tesco Value Paper Plates

No matter what occasion whenever we have a party in my house I keep my dinner plate crockery locked away in a cupboard. This is for two reasons, a; I don't want them getting broken, and b; most importantly I don't want a mountain of washing up to do with a hangover the next day! Tesco value paper plates are therefore a godsend!

The Tesco value paper plates come in a pack of 50 priced at a very reasonable £1.20 which works out to just over 0.02p a plate. Being the Tesco value range these don't come with any extra frills, the plates are packaged in a polothene seethrough wrapper that holds them tightly together. This also makes opening them quick and easy and less packaging to get rid of.

The plates themselves are made of a reinforced paper material and have a 22 cm diameter. The main area of the plate is flat and smooth and is obviously where you place your food and nibbles. The outer 2 cm of the plate is slightly raised and ribbed and meant to stop your food rolling off the sides. The overall colour of the plates is white.

One major problem with these plates is their thickness and strength, they are quite flimsy and when you put heavier foods such as chicken legs and sausages on them you have to be careful they don't go rolling off the end of your plate! Being quite a thin material these are not very good for holding sauces, although they don't saturate the plates, too much sauce can weaken their already flimsy composition so I tend to put my sauces in serving dishes.

Other than that these are fabulous and do everything that you want a paper plate to do. After use they go straight in the recycling or bin and the jobs a goodun! For the price you cannot feel bad about being a bit lazy during the party season.
